ParticipantRe: Creda S150LB No live to main oven element.
I could only think it was a link gone but I couldn’t see any trace of one having blown.
Any suggestions which contacts would have been linked?

It looks as if I’m going back to take the switch out.
Has anyone got a wiring diagram I can take with me in case?

ParticipantRe: Creda S150LB No live to main oven element.
I didn’t remove the selector switch but used a mirror and torch, couldn’t see any burn marks or damaged contacts. Also done a continuity test across the contacts that were actuated as a double check.
The odd thing with this was I traced the wires back to the selector then through the contacts and via the links to see where the live should come from but it didn’t appear to pick up the live from anywhere. I wondered if there was a link across a couple of the contacts that had burnt away without a trace but thought extremely unlikely!

That makes you sound very old Jim! Good point though.
You say “when I put on a drain cycle the machine empties ok so I think the pump is fine”, have you checked the filter.
If not it’s still worth a look.Twoten

Blimey 😯
Just checked with Hotpoint and they will supply for £28.51 all in.
I feel an interesting call coming on with Connect!

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint DWF70P AL08
About £78 retail according to connect, as you say, not over expensive……but bloody expensive way of buying an NTC!
Thanks for the help Jim.

ParticipantRe: Panasonic NN-A57SBBTQ M/W Power board Blown
Thanks for the info, I’m surprised the door switches would do that, I would have expected them to take out the monitor fuse as they’re supposed to. Would just a sticky switch do this?
I will go back and double check though.
The board is available from Seme, I don’t have a part number but the price quoted was £47.55 (I think that was including VAT).

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WMA30P Overfills after 10 Mins
When checking the pressure chamber I had the sump hose off and filter out which eliminates that as a possibility.

Thanks Penguin, that,s what I thought, I just wanted to confirm it before getting a replacement PCB.

The water ran through it without restriction and didn’t lift the float. You could see the micro-switch wasn’t actuated while the pump ran.

ParticipantRe: Breville Microwave Oven Fails when using convection oven
I called Breville and passed a message to Tech department. The reply was it would be the PCB.
This is irrelevant anyway as I have since discovered Breville only provide spares like turntable plates for their microwave ovens. If you require anything else you’ve had it.
Apparently the deal is if it fails in guarantee they replace it, if it fails out of guarantee you’ve had it!

I ordered the parts direct with Dyson about 20 minutes ago.
Thanks for the reply anyway.

ParticipantRe: WD71P E30 PCB blown
I’m sure it’s not the loom, I checked it closely as I thought that would be the problem.
Something in the drum is worth investigating further though.
Thanks,
Keith.
