    Re: Beko D533 Thermal cut-out.

The type fitted to the Beko is an in-line thermo-temp connect part number 5045173291270.

I’m happy using a thermal fuse like Connect 25206 but would like to know the correct rating.

Sorry Gegsy, you’re right, the field in the database didn’t show the last digit.

Is the filter being hard to remove common in these machine?

    Re: Smoking in vehicle!

Do the regulations include all work vehicles?
Where a vehicle is used for work by more than one person, regardless of whether they are in the vehicle at the same time, it will be required to be smokefree at all times. This protects all who use the vehicle from harmful secondhand smoke, regardless of when they use the vehicle.

Smoking will be permitted in vehicles that are for the sole use of the driver and are not used as a workplace by anyone else, either as a driver or passenger.

It may depend if the dog is a passenger ❓

It looks as if you should be OK.

I am sure Alex is correct.

How many people were in the vehicle?

Is it used by more than one person?

Re: Ariston Margherita – defective bearing

It looks as if the bearings are available the shaft will be either 22mm or 26mm, we will need to know the size but a rough guide to SRP is £36.

If you replace the shaft as suggested by helo_75 depending on shaft size the SRP will be in the region of £70. The pulley does not come with the shaft, this will have to be removed anyway to carry out the repair.

As Penguin45 has already pointed out, your machine has been leaking for a long time so the shaft is ‘very’ likely damaged, don’t even attempt to change the bearings if it is, they will not last.

Again to reiterate what Penguin45 has said, to replace the shaft you will have to replace the the complete tank assembly with a SRP £176.

As you can see this is not going to be a cheap or easy repair, if it was mine I would be looking at getting a replacement.

Re: Indesit Door seal hell WG1130T

I did consider removing the weight but because it looked like it may be cracked I had visions of it disintegrating as soon as I loosened the bolts so decided I wasn’t going there.

I also considered using a cable tie but wasn’t sure, in the end I found a spare Corbin clip that was a good fit, if you find the cable clip holds up and doesn’t leak I’ll use that next time.

    Thanks.

Thanks iadom, I will give the customer the bad news.

Any idea what line Hotpoint are likely to take on a machine just one month out of guarantee?

Just to close this, I returned with a new selector switch, when the old selector was removed and turned over you could just make out the burn between two contacts.

    Thanks everyone for the advise,

    Keith.

Went back and took another look, the vent hose in the top of the tub is clear.

    Re: Bosch SGS09L12GB/14 suppressor failure

    I done one of these today;

I find if you use a small flat screw driver and gently lift the edge of the ‘cable supply’ plate (furthest edge from where the cable enters) on the rear of the machine the plate slides toward the centre of the machine and comes out of the base assembly.

There are two small lugs that prevent the plate from sliding about 15mm in from the outer edges. I haven’t tried it but an old credit card might also do the trick!

Refitting is just a case of sliding back into place.

Re: Creda S150LB No live to main oven element.

Thanks for the advise Judging by your comments it has to be the selector.

I have ordered a switch to go back with, I’m not going to check first as the way this is installed into the housing the least times it taken in and out the better. It’s supported on two narrow cross members with not a lot of fixing either side, once it’s pulled forward it rests on only one!

I’ll let you know the outcome.

    Thanks.
