ParticipantUpdate.
Customer was telling me fibs. When I got there today he changed his story to say it does it at rinse. So it’s not a board fault. Also checked the motor, it’s a 3-phase type so no brushes. Cleaned the filter, there was a build up of hair + a plastic object.
They use pods.
I told them not to on a quick wash or if it’s not a full load, as it’s overdosing and what’s more, we are in a soft water area.
I couldn’t reproduce the problem, but after two 14 min super quick cycles using no detergent, there was still a lot of residual suds in the drum.
The interesting thing is the problem started occurring after a kitchen refit when they moved the machine from where it used to be to the cupboard is it in now, which is a *very* tight fit, and the dispenser drawer is ever so slightly misaligned.I told them to keep an eye on it.
So it looks like my plan of action if it reoccurs, going off what other people have done to cure the issue, is
1) remove the eco ball
2) change the dispenser box and drawerAugust 14, 2021 at 10:53 pm in reply to: Beko washer WTG741M1W pulsing water in dispenser at spin #478525washingmachinewoman
ParticipantI got the customer to have a look in the dispenser drawer during the spin cycle and they confirmed water was pulsing through. They say motor is not particularly struggling.
I can’t go until Friday so in the meantime I’ll ask what program and detergent they use, you never know.
And I made a mistake, correct model number is WTG761M1W, but it makes no difference main board is still not in stock anywhere.Lucie

ParticipantNot been out to it yet.
Thanks for the info and for checking. If that’s the issue it’ll be a lot cheaper than replacing the board or sending it out for repair.Lucie

ParticipantOh blimey, I would never have thought to look there!
Thanks Dave, something to think about next time I come across this faultwashingmachinewoman
ParticipantThink it’s broken down by quarters. See this interesting discussion in the General Trade Forum:
https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forums/forum/trade-member-forums/trade-forums/general-trade-forum/872386-qualtex-customer-service-poor-or-terribleBasically they’re no longer interested in the individual repairperson

ParticipantWith my limited knowledge I couldn’t find a triac on the board… can you see one on the photos?
The tacho magnet seemed fine, it didn’t look cracked. When I turned the resistance on the tacho pins was fluctuating, which I took to mean it was fine.washingmachinewoman
ParticipantYes, was told yesterday their minimum spend is now £3.5k a year
I received an email from them just the other day with a Customer Statement. Seeing as they closed my account last year for not reaching their minimum spend (which was then £5k a year), I was surprised and a bit annoyed that they still had my details. Surely it’s a GDPR breach…
Anyway, I told them to delete them unless they were happy for me to start ordering from them again. I live a mile away, so it would be much better for me and the environment than flying my spares from France (ASWO). But sadly the new minimum spend is still too high for me 🙁July 17, 2021 at 1:33 pm in reply to: Main motor pulley not sure if this piece is part of it #477744washingmachinewoman
ParticipantIf pulley carries on needing to be replaced often, I would suggest something is not running true.
One of the likely culprits could be the drum rollers. Should save you money in the long run as you will not be changing the pulley every 5 minutes
Cheaper on eBay, do a search on 1364059004. I would steer clear of second hand ones though.

ParticipantSounds like there could be a blockage on the way to the drain pump, you may want to check the sump. If everything clear could be a faulty pump.
Here are some how-tos:

ParticipantProbably the solenoid in the dispenser has given up the ghost. New dispenser on espares is less than £25. You might be able to find cheaper elsewhere.

ParticipantGreat, it goes on the list of things to check next time.
On this one, I didn’t look at the motor connector too closely but it looked and felt ok when unplugging/plugging.Lucie

ParticipantMust admit I didn’t. Something to check next time I come across this problem. Wouldn’t explain the jolts though?

ParticipantUpdate
Customer was away for 3 months. I finally got to fit new suspension and oiled the motor bearings today. Made it quieter but still no full spin. It looks like the drum rotation isn’t smooth, the motor gives slight jolts which make the drum sometimes move wildly.
At this point, gave it up as a bad job as you can’t get a new or second hand motor for this machine.washingmachinewoman
ParticipantOk, sounds like one to leave well alone!

ParticipantAs there’s no cheap Weller units going at the moment, was thinking of getting that one, read good reviews about the make and it looks like you can get replacement tips easily:
