when the control board is replaced you must programme it with a smart card and reader before it will work

manufacturers may bang on about how economical and enviromently freindly their machines may be, but if the bearings fail on a sealed tank, what a waste of resources-having to dispose of a drum and tank that up to a few years ago, could be reused and just the bearings replaced.
also indesit/hotpoint machines that when the modules fail, you either have to also purchase a smart card and reader or get the eeprom written by a indesit engineers laptop. my point here is that you cannot just buy a module and fit it, as you know it wont work, again its just extra costs involvedwashtronics
ParticipantRe: Electrolux ER78311 stat problem?
i have changed one on an AEG freezer, (same company) yes the freezer has to come out from the housing unit and the capillary from the stat is outside the cabinet and goes through a small hole usually sealed with a blue tac type seal

ParticipantRe: Bosch do FREE callouts!
indesit/hotpoint had same insurance deal but they never ever replaced anything there was not a ber, only if parts not available. it is through D&G insurance

ParticipantRe: indesit moon
it has a plastic “inlet manifold” that in my experience is best left attached to the hoses, then renew the cable tie instead. the new door gaskets come complete with the manifold but when i last done one and changed the complete assy, the hoses started to leak, thats why i suggest you dont remove the hoses. other than that there is a spring clip that holds the seal to the tank as normal

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Ultima WD865 – Bearings
the complete tank assy has to come out then the tank splits by removing the t30 screws, approx £120 if you pay for it.

ParticipantRe: CALGON TV Adverts
calblocks seems to work, screws inline to the inlet hose from the tap, i have these on my washing machine and dishwasher, cost from indesit approx £20. would recommend

cured the fault with a wiring loom, door interlock and pressureswitch, now working ok

ParticipantRe: Zanussi WJS1265W Washer/drier.
could be an earth fault on the dryer heaters, these give weird faults sometimes, try disconnecting the connections from the heaters-unplug appliance from mains first.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint FDW70G SN709111927 – Sticking
the temp sensor may have become detatched from clip on dispenser so it may not be sensing the temp

ParticipantRe: hotpoint washing wrecks kitchen
what model was it? when i was at hotpoint we would of been expected to repair it no mater what was wrong with it. so to me does not look that unusual for this fault. does not look like the 1600 spin model. it has a rear panel so same as indesit
