i used to work for whirlpool and i have a boxed `new` date code 02-91 drain pump 481236018012 02/4001.4609.7501. Check if it is correct as i left whirlpool 10years ago and cannot remember much about these machines. It is not an askoll pump, it has a cooling fan and the inlet to the pump is at right angles to outlet, it has 2 captive nuts to fix it to cabinet. send me a pm if your interested.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint wmf720 leaking
hotpoint have lots of probs with leaking dispensers, even when i worked for them it could not be cured. i have fitted complete dispensers/drawers/hoses, still leaks, give up! you more than likely will never cure it. if i get calls for the newer type hotpoints leaking from dispenser, i tell them to call hotpoint as your never make any money from these jobs

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WM62X Motor Speed Problem?
maybe a broken wire around the motor terminal block. try removing the wiring block and pull each individual wire-you may find one that is defective

ParticipantRe: DIF04 dishwasher wash pump.
fitted loads of wash motors and heaters on ind/hot newer type dishwashers, they only last for 2-3 years max, carry both on my van as use them so often. Suppose this is progress for you!

i have screwed weights back on with a few big blobs of silicone adhesive between the tank and weight. a few years ago on a philips whirpool slimstar top loader the weights used to come off on them, i used no nails adhesive and screwed the bracket back on-never fell off again. maybe try this.send a tweet back to tell us.

ParticipantRe: Beaten by a door seal ZWM616 dishwasher
the lower door seal is held on to a lip on the stainless steel door, the design is the same as the previous indesit/hotpoint platform. to change it you have to bend the lip out and then squeeze the new one in then squash the lip down again

ParticipantRe: h/point wml 560 (54702)
could be the display board not responding to programme changing or if not must be the main module

ParticipantRe: Beko wm5120s
hold start button in until end light comes on, wait for door to unlock then you can start programme again

ParticipantRe: Domestic appliances – reliability and design
in 1974 my mum bought our first washing machine an electra L1 this was also made by zanussi-before they were well known in this country. This was also built like a tank and never went wrong, eventually the tank developed a rust hole and started to leak-this was fixed with some chemical metal and gave it an extra couple of years. Eventually replaced by a philips awb927 in 1990, this was also a good reliable machine,no complicated electronics just a speed control unit with a per mag motor, just a door catch needed replacing as the plastic snapped, apart from that a fine example of a well made reliable machine

the zanussi washcraft machines built from approx 1982 to 1988., models from the 500 spin speed Z915t to the 1000 spin speed Z959t. All had the dark brown control panels and were great reliable easy to repair machines with proper electro mechanical timers and induction motors. The bearings were easy to change as they were on a spider, even the timers were quite easy to replace also. The washer drier wd2290 were great also, with a pull down door to cover the porthole door. There were no electronics on these machines so reliability was not an issue, i still ocasionally still see these machines around now and most spares are still available. If only they still made them like it now-they were indistructable and a joy to work on.

i assume this is not an official mod. surely the bolts must be stainless steel otherwise they will rust, these are not easy to get and i am sure amica do not supply them

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint BWD129 dispenser hose leaking 2nd time – how to
you may have a sock or something small like that stuck between inner & outer drum, this may cause hose to come off from the tank fitting, if from the dispenser end then put a cable tie round it

Matt-the hotpoint and indesit 1600 spin machines from 2008-2010 where the modification was to fit a strenthening brace screwed to the top of the cabinet to stop the tank self destructing when on fast spin, look at the machine in hatfield that did this.
