very erratic one day busy all day then you sit there thinking the phones disconnected. with finished goods prices so low and still falling is it any wonder? I’m pushing 60 and just hope I can hang out until retirement, long standing customers help whereas the younger generation seem to follow the “bin it” routine and who can blame them, under £200 for a perfectly functional washer?

have now seen this but to the customers suprise it worked perfectly. no noises temps ok tests ok. dont recognize the make fitted by B&Q as part of kitchen build could not find model no. a buit under (two small cavaties) mounted high in a housing 570mm internal size. it has a tough sensative clock so that might have neen touched by mistake.
if work was not so scarce it would be one to miss.thanks all wilf

I had a similar problem turned out the heater was o/c. dont know why this would cause intermitant spin faults but no further faults reported.

disconnect the heater and try again. notorious for causing faults I’ve had one at 62 megs causing problems.

ParticipantRe: EBAC washing machines launch in the spring
hot fill is dead like twin tubs. I dare say that anyone under say 35 has never bought a hot and cold fill. it would have to be sold to them possibly along with the cost of fitting a hot tap!

ParticipantRe: not a lot to show for 36 years
sorry to hear but think back ten years and more we all had a chance to make a proper living. I think more than a few of us are just hanging in in the hope of reaching retirement like you say “what else do you know”
best wishes wilf

ParticipantRe: AO oh no!
over 25 years ago the cheapest washer we sold was a “snowcap” dl500 at £200 leading brand 800’s about £350 and we couldn’t get enough Hoover stock4 (graded) a3786 logic 1200 at £460. then HMG poked their nose in and prices fell factories closed shops shut. cheaper prices mean more money for phones computers etc that were not available then. today your only a click away from the best deal and the big boys can play the percentages game. selling up to more expensive brands requires face to face customer contact and good luck to those of you that want to try. Me, I just hope that I can make it to retirement with finished prices making it worth unblocking pumps fitting carbons and elements.
