just for future ref I’ve been back to this and changed front ntc more out of hope than science but that was last week it ran ok then and I told the customer to get back if anything wrong . hav’nt heard anything so I assume its ok. measured the resistance one against the other as I fitted it and got about 1K difference .

    fingers crossed wilf

like I said very strange. modern house wiring all good 30a dp switch. customer is smart man and has tried leaving it off for several minutes but he assures me he has had to go through this procedure several time due to power cut and accidental switching of the wall switch. oven is on same circuit via a spur even with this off the same thing happens when its powered up it works ok .not one I’ve seen before. this is one of those “oh by the way do you know anything about……jobs” while looking at another job.

it is on a 30 amp supply you have to disconnect from supply (switch off) take the base off unplug the pcb wait a minute reassemble then switch back on. all very strange. I suspect the pcb but at £200 plus I dont think its a runner hence asking about replacement sizes.

    Re: beko dryer DCU8230

just in case anyone else has similar fault it was the heater ntc it seems readings outside design limits cuts out heater.had an old wma ntc in my box hooked onto the leads and away she went so ordered new heater.
heater ntc should be 19500 ohm @25c door ntc (orange wires) should be 1200 ohm @25c

    regards wilf

    Re: beko dryer DCU8230

just looking through parts list and I see a door ntc any idea where this is and how to access it? I now suspect the high resistance leads I mentioned earlier go to moisture sensors Im going back tomorrow but any technical would help to lessen the learning curve.

    thanks wilf
