ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WF630G Bearings
I dont even try to knock out the bearings anymore just fit rear half tub. even with the hotpoint bearing tool kit it only works two out of three times as they are too large a bearing for too micky mouse a thread size to pull and the replacement tool parts too expensive when the threads wear as they will. Ive even bought a tap to recut the thread. with a magnifying glass you can see the distortion on the threads and yes I do keep them well oiled!

ParticipantRe: One for Alex – How to take the back of a Zanussi
once went to a 95 where the customer had installed the machine flush into a side wall by knocking a hole through into the coal house. made access to the pump easy once I had moved all the bricks. god knows what the council thought!!!!!!!!!!!

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint FEW 12
I dont try to get the bearing out just fit tub rear half and spider if required (cut through the fixing bolts with an angle grinder) I usually take the tub back to the workshop to strip and re build then take it back to re assemble
