    Re: Baumatic Single fan oven

sold a few of these new and they ALL showed the neon on when first connected I put it down to stat not calibrared to below room temp. but after first use this seems to cure itself. I asked customers to contact me if the “fault” persisted…. no call backs!………….yet!

    hope this helps wilf

p.s. instructions say that these need no ventilation as the top which can be handy if space is tight

if the hoses are too big clamp them down with a SMALL jubilee clip. if its the one I think you mean you should have no trouble

if its got a sole motor you can spring the clip off of the tacho and pull the coil clear to check if everything is in order any other make and your snookered. you might just have a dud motor

p.s. sole tacho is a spare get back if you get stuck I think Ive got the number somewhere.

the early tub had the breather hole in the middle i.e. between the bearings, definatley ditch those. we always fit new rear half and spider as it seems almost impossible to remove the bearings even with the proper tools

before the days of mobile phones went to a zan jet system on our local rough estate sensing that I was on to a loser I made my appoligies and left ” sorry thats one we dont keep parts for” 30 seconds tops. drive down to the botom of the dead end turn around drive out . king kong and wife in road ” you mend my F****** machine now or Ill F***** kill you” starts kicking the van door. people stand on their doorsteps to watch the fun. luckily someone phones the boys in blue and Im saved
it turns out he had just been released from jail for knifing and two weeks later his pictur appeared in the local paper posing angrily against a broken down door “drug squad got the wrong address…………..”

Ive had several like this. 6.3 amp 20mm fuse fits ok if your carefull and pull the broken one out of its end caps. failing that youll have to fit a holder in place on the timer. I got holders and fuses from “rapid online” electronics supplies. the ones Ive done it was always the console backplate that broke through letting the spring loose. not a bad little job though!
