Re: hoover new wave plus 5
Tried making sure the connections hadn’t been disrupted when changing the moter.. they all looked OK.. but reseated them at element end just in case…The machine timed out again 1st time I tried(prog 4) but went through a complete cycle(prog 4) the next time. Havn’t tried again.. If/when I replace the element what is the best way to tackle it.. Should the font panel be removed.. Or is there enough room to remove from underneath. Your help is very much appreciated…

Do you know of any Engineers in the Liverpool area that can fix this problem. I have had 1 person out and he didnt seem to know what he was doing and charged me £15 for a 2 minute job and pressing some of the buttons. The problem is intermitent and it so happened it worked when he tried it now I am back to were I started.Re: Creda Europa Oven Fan removal

You have to knock the fan back it has a taper locking collet.Re: Hotpoint FF92S Thermistor(s)?

Don’t listen to the last post……
As an X whirlpool Service partner I can say that we knew all about american whirlpool fridge freezers and were trained by whirlpool too.
A little knowledge is not always the answer.
Try asking Whirlpool, they can only say NO, but what good does that do them if as you advise you are only just out of warrenty.
As for Expert Appliances………pass!

MFI don’t give out instruction manuals but you can still get one by ringing 0845 795 9722. I think its a phone number owned by MFI but they specifically deal with manuals. They charge you about £8 to order one as well.

Knocking noises are usually from the spray arms hitting/catching something. you can check by jamming the arms with a fork or large dish so they can not move and run the programme. If the knocking persists then its the wash pump impellor, why? i don’t know. But the motor and impellor are 1 part and if you return to us to say it is we can guide you with the cost of said part.

Please check if this has R134a refrigerant ..look on the label usually hidden by the salad draws.
If it is, call it a day would be my advice. The chance of a system blockage is very high, too high to repair an 8 year old appliance.

JUST TURNED ON DISHWASHER AGAIN AND ONLY LIGHT FLASHING IS ” RINSE AID ” . HAVE NEVER USED RINSE AID BEFORE SO CAN’T THINK THIS HAS ANTHING TO DO WITH IT
ALSO SALT NEEDED TO BE REFILLED ( WHICH I DID ) AND SINCE THEN DISHWASHER HAS NOT WORKEDCOULD EITHER OF THESE HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT

I HAVE JUST RECLEANED THE FILTER AND SET DISHWASHER TO CLEAN 2 PLATES ONLY ( TO TEST ) WILL POST DETAILS TOMORROW

Its engineer time for this appliance, you need one who can checkout the Gas system.
Ask for a verbal quote regarding regassing before you agree to a call out and weigh up the possible costs against the purchase price.

Most likely a system fault, ice blocks never a good sign with R134a gas, compressor running too hot compounds the problem. How old is this appliance?

And we will need somewhere to talk together to evolve what we are about to embark on. Then there’s Sean to bring upto date and involve him more as I suspect he will want to participate in our plans.
I hope we are asking Sean to our board meeting in glasgow, as he’s there for the Dasa meeting, it would be an ideal time to broaden his knowledge.
