Re: AEG Error MSG C3 on model oko_favorit 50700

Hi Farm Boy, just tried this and it has resolved the problem. Makes sense what was happening now and easy to resolve when you know how. Just a shame they couldn’t explain this in the manual!!

Just want to say a big thank-you to you and would like to buy you a beer or two as appreciation. I don’t suppose you are in the West Sussex Area?

Thanks to the penguin45 as well.

    Regards Gary 😀

Thank you very much for the quick responce and advise!
I have checked for a specialist near me prior to writing the post, but there are non on repairs@.
My husband has checked inside the mashine, he says there is nothing visually wrong with the motor or the belt, but he didn’t check the brushes.
The machine swithches on, pumps the water in, the washes regulator goes round the dials and clicks, the water pumps out, but the drum just does not spin at any time during the cycle. It’s possible to spin the drum by hand when the machine is not on. Does this still sounds like a board? I would prefer for my husband to sort it out, if possible, it will be quicker.

    Re: DIPLOMAT ADP 8132

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

I have now got to the root of the problem. This may be helpful to others who experience similar problems.

The level pressure switch had slipped out of its retainer lugs on the airbreak which resulted in a poor seal between the switch nozzle and the gasket in the airbreak. This in turn allowed pressure to bleed off as the machine attempted to fill, preventing the pressure switch from activating.

It is possible that replacing the airbreak with a new one helped matters. However, I am satisfied that the primary cause was the dislocated pressure switch.

    Thanks Stuart
I contacted AIS who confirmed the dishwasher is not draining properly. Before I ask for an engineer to be called (which will cost me as it is just out of warranty!) is there anything I can easily check to potentially save some money / embarrassment ?
    Cheers

Are able to explain exactly how to gain access to the door thermostat. I have taken off the decor door but see no sign of it. Is is actually inside the body of the door and requires the inner door skin removed to gain access ( quite a few star headed screws)?

Any help gratefully rec’d – Simon

    Hi:-
Thanks for that.. I have now managed to obtain a replacement motor which gives me both speeds.. The problem I now have is an’E2′ error.. I’ve cleaned the ball and the sump and checked for blockages. the error happens midway through a number 4 program cycle. The machine will do a quickwash(12) and a fast spin(10) without going into error condition. could anybody give me some advice… thanks…

We are in Australia, and apparently, the engineers here don’t have a clue what is wrong with our fridge, because they have never seen a model like this. I will post the model number and serial when i get home tonight, thanks for your replies.

    Re: ADP8342 – Flashing lights

this fault is caused by water tripping the anti flood device there are several reasons why this may happen the most common is a loading fault.on the lower basket if anything other than plates are put to the back of the appliance eg bowls or pans upside down it can intermittantly cause water to leak into the base tray and trip the anti flood device you most clear the water from base tray of appliance and this will clear the fault

this sound like the filler has definitley been choked when you changed the filler it is essential that the largest tube out of the four is cleaned of sludge and that the non return valve inside the sump assy is free, the filler comes in a kit form for early models if this is the case it is important to fit all parts p-switch and anti-flood device.

Re: Bosch 6312 Dishwasher: No Heat

Some of my colleagues have resoldered this joint, with a warning to the customer that if the joint failed sometime in the future, then a new module would be required. This is against company policy. (Risking a b********g) The module in question has long been superseded and as we see a lot less of this fault.
Customers who had this fault (still very much in the minority) got discount on the repair if the appliance is/was under three years old. If you read my post again, you will see that I said “it’s seen as a temporary repair” I have no problem with anyone soldering. In fact if it were my own appliance and I had to fork out £90 for a new module, I’d be running to the van for “the iron”. 😉

    Re: Diplomat APL 8215

sounds like the timer is getting over cammed and missing the fill position if this occurs itwill still bring the heating element on the over camming usaully happens on the eco cycle as there is no compulsary drain at the start of the program
