KeymasterRe: Bosch fan oven fault
OK, thanks!
Actually a PITA. because of the way I have set the oven down to work on it makes it difficult to get at the front of it… ho hum….
Yeah, – having had a few jolts in the past, I’m definately carefull about isolating the supply!
Cheers.

KeymasterRe: Bosch fan oven fault
OK, Im standing at the back of the oven, and the back cover is off…
I’ve removed the 3 screws securing the fan motor to the back of the oven cavity and it is now moving freely in the hole through the back of the cavity…
It obviously won’t come out yet though, since the fan blade assembly is still fixed to the motor shaft on the other side of the bulkhead….
Q: – how do I get at and remove the fan blade from the motor shaft? – do I have to go inside the oven cavity from the front? – or should I be able to do this whole operation from the back of the oven?
TIA

KeymasterRe: Creda Dryer 37748E – No Heat!–Same as Creda 37747?
Dear Dave,
I think I have the same problem w/ my Creda 37747. Should I use the same parts or is there another part number to follow?
Second question, I live in Italy (we moved since buying the dryer). Is there anyway to have the parts mailed here?
Thanks,
Erik

KeymasterRe: Necht Dishwasher
We have a Necht Dishwasher (model WQP12-6015) and is 14months old, which has two problems:
i) the switch mechanism that connects when the door is closed moves and cannot switch the program on. This has been attended to by a Necht technician but has been a constant problem.
ii) the program now only works half way through the wash, the water does not heat, it does not drain at the end of the cycle and then two lights flash on the display. We have been unable to contact the company by telephone with the number we used previously and would be grateful for any advice about how to gain assistance with these matters.

KeymasterRe: Indesit error code F-11 (for model WE 12 S UK)
Thanks for the advice. I emptied it and looked at the 4 blades, as you said. They turn easily.
Tried restaring the washer and same happened – took water in for 5 seconds then up flashed F – 11.
The washer has been leaking abit around the area where the pump is. Do you think a simple replacement is all that’s needed?

KeymasterRe: Names!
I think we should have a box the same size of the “shop@” one underneath the shop one ..on the front page.
So those who see the shop@ also see the “UKWrepaiman” advert with a link to ejobs and not the directories. Those in the directories should not be added to the ejobs unless they apply like the rest of us have…..
Oh and call it …..UKW@home…..or UKWinhome

great – much appreciated. I’ll see if this makes sense, and give feedback to the group. It is good to see the web used for positive stuff.

KeymasterRe: Advice on W/Machine, good quality, quiet
Ok so a Miele it is then!
Any further advice on the model?
From the miele website
the W 2444 WPS seems superb with ‘Quiet + sound insulation’ and a 10yr parts/labour warrenty but a tad pricey (and probably out of our budget) at £737+ (KelKoo)
the W 2240 has the same 10 yr warranty but only ‘Basic + sound insulation’ but from £663
Or the 2203 with a 5 yr warranty with only ‘Basic sound insulation’ from £570.
So my final questions are:
Does anyone have any idea just how effective these increasing levels of sound insulation are? If the w2444 can run virtually unheard then we’ll pay the extra but if its just marginally quieter than the other 2 we’ll probably go for the 2240 (as we like the idea of an 10 yr warranty). Unless the 2203 is perceived as better value for money?
Thanks again for all your advice, its very much appriciated.

KeymasterRe: Creda Condensair Model 37754 Doesn’t heat
Martin,
Thanks. I checked the Stats again (including the door t/Stat).
With the spade connectors dis-connected, I have continuity across all Stats EXCEPT for the Rear LHS Stat; so I guess you are right.
Please confirm my rationale that this indicates that the Thermostat is mal-functioning. Replacement is obviously a straight-forward process.
Many thanks,
John M
