The belt won’t slip on one of these. What condition is the armature in. Always pays to clean it when replacing brushes. Try it with a full balanced load in it

I know this place is not for swearing but lee is pushing me right towards it. How the hell can you not support the “small business”, it’s what makes this country great, being able to start up on your own and offer a great personal service
So back lee8 and chuckle at we lesser mortals that work our socks off day in day out but do you know what, at the end of every single day without fail I can rest assured that I’ve offered great value for money, and my customers always come back to me.
I’ve just come back from 2 weeks away and have had countless people that where prepared to wait, do these people care about the small business?? Absobloodylutely!!!!!

I always use a workmate. Fine for most cookers unless one is installed at an unusual height

Sorry you say you’re competent to work on gas appliances, have you got the relevant gas safety certificate, cN you do all the necessary tests afterwards with the proper equipment ? If not then you shouldn’t be going anywhere near it, also doing the same in a property I assume you rent out is a whole different can of worms

If you take right hand side off you will probably see the casing to the suppressor cracked and black. Very common fault, have replaced 2 this week

Just looking at the codes of practise for pat testing it says a fixed appliance is fastened to a support or secured in a specified location. Still don’t help a lot I know

Shouldn’t cost much to put a new lock on.

Tried that Martin, also tried all combinations of pressing buttons, also plug out for 10 mins, assuming it must be the board. I think the customer is going to replace it but I hate not knowing
