The most annoying thing in my opinion is when they mutter the immortal words

    Hi Martin,
The only lights on the display are the programme selected, was expecting a fault code to flash up after a while but nothing
It’s only 2 years old so I think they’re going to get bosch out but I hate not being able to give an exact answer

Once sides etc are off, remove module, rear cover ( waste and fill hose ) disconnect door hinge cables, lay it back and prise the base away. Really wasn’t too bad, this was an integrated machine though so assume it would be the same for free standing

Why scrap? have you seen how cheap the pump is for those? (£62 from qualtex) and it includes the heater, formerly £90 odd in itself on previous Bosch dishwashers. Easy change too once you get the hang of it.

easy to change! how long does it take then- total strip down job innit’, 2-2 1/2 hours ?
if there’s an easy way I wish I knew!
    Clive.

Their not too bad, drop the base off which is the worst bit but after I done 1 I managed to get the base off in about 10 mins on the next one

I think you may be able to get away with it if you order the backplate for the valve. If not as Jim says it’s the complete dispenser assembly

Unless the dryer control was set to a time or auto by mistake, I would guess it’s her that done it and is trying a fast one

Got home and there’s a message from them for me to call them. I take it best action is to delete the message 🙂

Bit of a pig base has to drop right down or even come off. Once you’ve done 1 there not too bad

Re: Hotpoint dryer belt fitting tool

Bolts line up dead easy imo. Use a pair of pipe grips on motor to lever it down. You don’t remove all the bolts just 3 and slacken the other to give a pivot point. Just the way I do it if others find another easier way then brilliant. Don’t suppose there’s ever a correct way
