It may have blown the fuse in the plug when it tripped. That said, if the machine is the cause of the circuit breaker tripping and you change the fuse and it works, then there could still be an underlying electrical fault that needs to be found and repaired.
If you have a parts warranty, then the engineer will be able to find an electrical short quickly with the correct test equipment.

Get an engineer to check this machine, your safety is paramount.

    Thanks for the reply, Lerch!!!
I wanted to select a spin only cycle – but you seem to only be able to do complete start to finish wash / rinse / spin.
Can’t be done I suppose. Disappointing omission considering what it would have cost new. 🙁

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Yes, the Remco boards can burn; and the result will generally be no motor action. The motor carbons must be good though. Check for blown solder joints, as these can often be quickly and easily sorted. But if that fails, EMW refurbish these or they can test / repair the old one for you. Give Tony a ring on (01159) 652118.

    Hope that helps,

Actually, even Checkatrade do this type of monitoring. If every customer is consulted, that would mean a huge postbag each and every day. I think random checking would generally suffice.
Unless of course, the OFT expect 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} monitoring.

    Thanks for that Greg!! But……..
Looking at the diagram, the TOC is in line with all the elements, and if that is the one above the fan motor then it is working OK. So it could still be either the temperature probe or the electronic thermostat / selector unit.

    Help!! 😳

    Re: Bosch group quikfinder ….

You’re right, Mark; all I get is the brand list page. I click on a brand name (and I’ve tried them all) – nothing. Maybe the site is down. I will try again tomorrow. Blasted nuisance though – I had 3 parts to look up. Oh well, I’ll have to trust Connections – wish me luck!!!!

    Hi Jim!! :waving:

PCB is part no. 816290672. Probably the culprit – you seem to have tried everything I would have, and arrived at the same conclusion.

Quickest answer from EMW – (01159) 652118. And the cheapest.

    Re: New ISE5?

If it’s the same as the prototype John showed me – it’s VERY nice!! Impressive and bold design that suggests quality on sight. Should be extremely quiet with a silent induction motor! And best of all, it looks completely different than the current model in the way that it looks unique.
    😉
Well done Ken, John and co. at ISE. If you can’t sell this new ISE 5, then you ought to check yourself for a pulse. 😀
I look forward to a delivery of these……

    Re: Indesit dribbling?

    Hi Martin!
Yes a standard 90 degree valve will fit. The ‘snaplock’ pegs you mention are exactly the same dimension as the holes of a normal valve. Just take a couple of screws to fit it.
BUT….. in this case, on an Indesit, the valve is slid downwards into a square hole – so just remove and discard the mounting plate! 😉

Re: Neff B1691NOGB/01 no power problems!!!

Thanks for that!! Now to attempt to answer that question…….
The oven fan works fine, no power at the TOC , no power across the fan element. Meter to neutral on the connection block and tested for a supply at the elements. No power to any of the elements. 😕
Is there a relay responsible for supply to all the elements? I could see three on the PCB.

    Help!!

The Belling one is usually OK for most ovens – 170 degree 2 tag cut out.
Connect part no:- 5031682014516. Around £5.

    Re: cooker element earth connections

I fit a crimped ring tag instead of the amp tag and secure it under one of the screws. The only exception that comes to mind is the Bosch / Neff fan element that has the earth tag missing. In that case, I will attach the wire to the fan motor mounting plate with a screw. Better to leave it secured than just loose. 😉

    Re: The Candy CN 120

I would recommend Hoover / Candy machines because even though they are cheap to buy, they are far better than anything Indesit / Hotpoint. I am also happy to repair them as most people are satisfied with their reliability so few horror stories. Not bad.
Not as good as an ISE 2 though……. 😉
