E70 relates to NTC faults. 😉
TDS shows 2 codes in the E70 family –
E71= NTC faulty; wiring to NTC faulty; PCB.
E74= NTC sensor badly positioned; NTC faulty; wiring to NTC; PCB.Hope that helps,
Steve.
P.S. It’s a ZWF1430S BTW!! 😀

Thanks Greg for the PDF’s – and Steve for the moral support. 😆
This bloke is in his mid 60’s, probably had extensive experience assembling Airfix kits (hence the ‘mechanical mind’). Knows everything and nothing all at once.
For my money, he’s a time-served, fully qualified merchant banker. 😉Cheers,
Steve.
P.S. Just fitting the handle to my ‘Exit’ door……… 😀

ParticipantRe: The strangest thing you can find in a blocked pump
Slightly off-topic……
About 6 years ago I visited a Servis drier that was “humming and the drum doesn’t turn”.
I pulled a dead hamster (rather wedge shaped) from under the drier fan. It had been missing for five days, said the lady. “Don’t let my daughter see it, I’ve convinced her that her hamster has gone to heaven.”
Maybe God has a use for a novelty door wedge……. :snigger:Steve.

ParticipantRe: The strangest thing you can find in a blocked pump
My record find to date was £ 42.63 in a Zanussi FL1012. That was mostly in notes. I found £14. 64 (all in coins) after stripping a Hoover logic washer drier for loud banging noise. Coins were in every hose; the condenser ‘U’ vent hose; the pump; stuck in the sludge on the backplate – everywhere I looked. That was back in the days of the ‘yuppie’ during the house prices boom (mid 90’s). “I thought it was getting noisy” said the estate agent owner. That was the best thing he could think of to say. :rolls:
(Continues unintentionally disparaging estate agent topic 😆 ) While repairing a Hotpoint washer with a no spin fault, I had a mid-fifties estate agent fellow standing there telling me how amazingly important he was; and how much money he was making; and in a roundabout way telling me how he wouldn’t be seen dead crouching on the wet floor clearing a Hotpoint pump.
“Oh yes, it is a dirty job sometimes; but I enjoy my work and it is rewarding to help people out of a crisis,” I said “and by the way, this is the problem” (a condom). I handed him the pump. “Could you remove that from the impellor and wash the pump thoroughly please? Take care not to get the coil wet. Thanks”.
On his return, he was still scarlet and was stuttering and shaking. Me, well I was perfectly calm. (LMAO inside). I couldn’t resist telling him at length to always ensure that trouser pockets were empty, and that such blockages cause pump failure. He was almost breathless with embarrassment. :rotfl:
Pompous prat.
Mind you, he acts like my new best mate every time I call at the agent’s office. “Cup of tea or coffee, Steve?”I love my job…….. :snigger:

Try http://www.diamond-h-controls.co.uk. All their regulators are shown with internal wiring diagrams (downloadable as PDF files). You may be able to match your regulator to a Diamond H unit.
Worth a try! 😉Cheers,

ParticipantRe: Zan’ TC481W belt change
Straightforward job. Lid off, then remove the plastic panel and fan drive belt, then all the back panel screws bar the bottom two. Pop the ‘c’ clip off the rear bearing and pull the back panel off the spindle. Drop the belt over the drum and over the motor pulley. Refit the back panel screws and ‘c’ clip on the drum shaft. The motor tensioner is the confusing bit. Basically, twist the motor bodily to the right ie; clockwise (it’s sprung loaded).
Pass the spine of the belt round the jockey pulley and let the motor turn back under the spring pressure to tension the belt. The belt should run from the left (looking at the back of the machine) round the motor pulley and then round the jockey pulley. Lubricate the pulley and the motor mount axis bearings. Refit the small fan drive belt and the plastic cover. Be sure to fit the fan belt correctly – a diagram is moulded into the plastic panel.Hope that helps,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint DWF50 dishwasher.
Well, it wasn’t the PCB – 😯 . New ‘Bit 100’ PCB fitted; no difference. Surely that only leaves the LED indicator unit to replace? Anyone had one of these units fail before? There are no visible faults on the indicator LED board; no burns or loose connections at all. The ribbon type supply cable is unmarked.
I think I’ve found the part (the LED indicator assembly part number C00143536). Is this correct as it’s a special order (of course)!
Any help please? 😕Cheers,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Electrolux ew1200i
The computer module controls most of the functions on this machine. The EW1200i uses the AKO 546546 computer board – £29.90 + VAT from EMW.
That should sort it out.Hope that helps,
Steve.
P.S. Assuming you’ve checked for a loose / displaced tacho coil? 😉

ParticipantRe: electrolux fan elements, where can you get a good copy?.
ELE4532 from Connect. Fitted loads with no problems.
Early on, I found that the elements would ‘swing’ or pivot at the mounting plate causing them to foul the fan. To prevent this, I always secure the element’s bottom tag by drilling a small hole in the back panel of the oven to locate it.Hope that helps,
Steve.
