Re: Siemens dishwasher SE24207gb/01 door leak

Have you taken the door outer panel off and checked it’s not leaking from the dispenser area and running down inside the door?

If you run it with the door panel off you will see if it is leaking from the lower door seal

Have you checked the earthing strap on the rear bearing shaft?

Easy. Very similar to a bosch to take the front off. There is a wire band clip holding the door seal to the drum. The drum unit is very similar to the old Hotpoint 95 series.

Re: How difficult are Miele Repairs?

Thanks Seamy, I noticed the wiring diagram.

What sort of guarantee do they carry?

Although the parts are pricey, I think most customers will accept that you have to pay for quality. My labour charge is only a fraction of Miele’s call out!

I Think I will add Miele to my list from today.

I’d love to find a cheaper version of this part. Can you try a resistance comparison check at a few different temperatures?

I had similar problems a few weeks ago…

In my case the damn thing came back to life on it’s own. However I did discover that the child lock is activated and deactivated by depressing the select button for 6 seconds.

I’m with Jim. I give twelve month gtee.

The customer has paid for the repair. Cut your losses, supply another element FOC for good will.

You have little to lose and much to gain.

Reading through the thread again, it appears as if you stopped looking for the fault when you found the blown track and assumed that the blown track was the reason for no-go. Is it possible that the machine has been working with the blown track for a while and the customer was unaware that the valve was not working? Perhaps it was the hot valve or the Fab valve?

Your original post looked like a typical no motor action. The first thing a whirlpool does after energising the door is to test the motor. If the motor is O/C or there is no tacho feedback then it will just sit there!

I would test motor continuity from the timer connector plugs.

    Check the mains supply.

Make sure that the top basket is going all the way home. Could be a broken basket wheel. This has thrown me before.
