You should have posted this in “the most annoying thing customers do” thread , ask for your advice , then totally ignore it :x.

Hope you charged a premium installation fee 😈

Re: Indesit group parts info – Partfinder?

Looks like a bit of a stalemate on this one then Martin .
Indesit are never going to give out the disk free and I doubt any wholesaler like CDSl could persuade them to allow exploded diagrams of their spares on Mediator.

Do you have any solution or ideas to solve this problem?
I did suggest some sort of sharing scheme to help with costs but didn`t seem to generate any interest and it may not be too convenient for those who need the disk regularly.

Stalemate , but there is a very similar thread about manufacturers restrictive practices .

Would it be an idea for a couple of disks to be bought from the subscribers fund and handed out to any volunteers in the group.
Personally I agree with your previous statement that most parts etc. can be identified using other sources but I don`t do a huge amount of work on Indesit (prefer Servis 😉 😆 ).

Don`t think the volunteers who have the disks should necessarily feel compelled to answer all questions but simply on a casual basis if they happen to have the disk and time to spare.

Might even encourage a few more subscribers?

    Re: Servis ‘contraption’

I`m not saying Servis is a great make but much more straight forward proposition to repair than counting the flashes and watching timers rotate IMO.Each to their own I suppose.

C`mon now Jim , Servis machine not draining its water , I bet you`re there like a shot :)……..I know I am anyway. Broken door handles , door seals , modules , valves , blocked soap dispenser hose etc…..it`s money for old rope IMO.

since then the you can not set timer unit,

Perhaps it`s an idea to get your customer to contact their electricity supplier or who ever was responsible for the power cuts/surges.
Sure your customer would have a strong case for recompense if there was a known problem with the supply at the time. It`s not totally uncommon for electronics to fail under these circumstances.

Yes that`s what I meant :). I guess they are under covered in this area as I regularly put mailshots from them and GB DAR in the bin.

As a matter of interest washdoc , did you still get paid by D&G for the initial call ❓

Hope you appreciate this is a totally different situation as I wouldn`t even consider cutting in to someone elses work because they were waiting for parts and I had them in stock.

Faulty door interlock , motor or pump seems to nearly always damage the PCB on these latest cheapo Zanussi`s . Sometimes get away with replacing faulty interlock or pump and soldering the damaged PCB with link wires but other times I`ve had to send the board to QER who will repair it for 29:90+vat which keeps the repair viable….just :).

Probably BER if it`s the motor in my experience .
