Yes , I`ve certainly had faulty door interlock on this model blowing tracks on the PCB and managed to repair damage with a couple of link wires and soldering iron more like on the Hotpoint WM rather than the WMA .
Slightly awkward to remove module but it should be worth the effort.Bryan

He`ll have gone and bought it from elsewhere after getting the advice he needed from this site. Issues like this have been discussed many times in the past and there are no definite ways of preventing it but for some reason it always annoys me as it obviously has you.
His closing line of “no call out charge” summed up the type of person he is and grin and bear it seems to be the only way.Bryan

The alternative Part No. 6203423 which Masterpart give , I`ve doubled check with a different supplier and is the correct alternative so I would say at £19.99 + vat to go for it :D.
Hope that helps.

The reason I’m on the wrong band is probably because I don’t order enough from them. The reason I don’t order enough from them is because the prices are too high. A Catch 22 type thingy.Yes Tony , this has been discussed several times before , one of the most stupid and useless marketing strategies ever (apart from Hoover 😆 ). The guy who thought it up has been promoted several times and probably on about £40k per annum 🙄 .

ParticipantRe: Do I believe in ISE?
Ok guys we need a maths lesson because you`re both doing completely different sums , don`t ask me to explain it but both equations are fundamentally different and you`re both right.
Andy`s sold 100 machines today, Ken`s sold 500 over 5 year period 😕Bryan

ParticipantRe: NDT and Launch
Thanks for that reply Kevin , hopefully some of the other guys will read this and let us know what sort of figures they might expect from their experiences. As I`ve said it can only be some sort of estimate but it may give us all some sort of insight as to expected failure on these two items.
I`ll stick with my 80 and Kevin`s at 3.5 anyone else care to give a number ❓
Thanks

Sorry Kevin it might just be me but I don`t understand your {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}age figures.
Lets keep it simple if we take 100 brand new ISE machines and they`re used by a family of 4 for 5 years , how many ,as an engineer would you expect to need the carbons replaced . Everyone feel free to put a figure on this but I`ll start and I`d say 80.If we get enough engineers giving their estimate then maybe we`ll get a to be expected average.

Regarding the figures you quoted for D & G. Lets not assume that these figures can be used as a guide for project ISE.Totally agree with you on that Andy , those figures are based on a large percentage loosing their paperwork and forgetting they even bought a warranty. Some others simply can`t be bothered with the call centres , waiting a week to get a repair done or taking a day off work. How do I know , because like everyone else here I have them as paying customers every week.
No customer who buys an ISE from the local , friendly engineer who they`ve known for years is going to forget they have the 5 year warranty and they`ll certainly know exactly who to call or even knock on his door.
On the issue of the 1+5 package it`s not really such a tempting deal for potential customers.

We unfortunately can’t start these tests until all our 1st batch is landed with us. We have now been informed that this is now a date in December and has scuppered our plans for a December 3rd launch. Whilst we rethink the launch it should allow us to NDT test during December, before launch.
What’s the feeling of you guys if we were to perhaps aim for a Mid January 2006 launch, having lots of NDT data by then?
Kevin
I know this is well out of date now but bearing in mind what is being spoken about at the moment , has the NDT been done with all the data available.
Is it not fair to assume that the brushes on the motor and probably the pump will almost certainly need to be replaced within a 5 year period of average family use on every ISE machine unless they really are of supreme quality. Thanks
