    Re: Neff 1420 fan problems

Somtimes 😳 the fan motors can get “gunged” up.
You may have freed up the motor just by turning the shaft.
Are you sure there was no voltage to the fan when it was on the oven?

The Siemens KG32U123 is a better appliance. http://tinyurl.com/2ej67o

    Re: Neff U1661 locks out

    This is not a fault.
    It is indeed a “S” not a “5”.
“S” for “safe” is a child lock.
To operate the lock (on + off) you have to turn the selector switch from the 12 o’clock to 1 o’clock and back again several times quickly.
    I think it’s 3 or 5 times IIRC.

    Re: gaggenau downdraft system

The noise level is largely down to the installation. Is the fan unit to be mounted in or outside of the house?
The vent hose run has a major effect on noise and performance.
The shorter and straighter hose the better.
Maybe you could hear one at a dealers first?

If installed correctly these appliances are excellent and give very few problems.

I tend to find the downdraft works much betters than the VL 051 swing out type.

All there washer/dryers on sale now are hoover’s in a skirt!
Generally Seimens stuff comes out of germany where as the bosch is Poland among others.

Tell your friend to buy a shed and put a tumble dryer out there and buy seperate washing m/c

    No!
    Only Teknik are Hoovers! :lesson:

The intergrated Siemens/Neff/Bosch washer dryers are Smeg :sadder: but not intergrated washers.
    (for now)

The free standing washer dryers are B/S/H Spanish made. The Spanish washer dryer is quite good these days.

All the washing machines are B/S/H produced in Poland,Spain and the higher end types in Germany.

As already suggested, seperate appliances are the better solution.

    .

Continuity between the adjacent pairs on 4 pins, but the pair of pins nearest the front of the machine showed no continuity in ON or OFF position. This would mean that the mains live and neutral are being switched ok, but the white wire (which appears to loop to the switched neutral pin) does not connect in either ON or OFF.

    It’s a β€œmomentary” switch, like your P.C. power switch.

    Re: gaggenau oven

There was a problem with some of the pyro ovens locking the door, if self clean is not used much.
Opening and closing the door would cause a quick pulse of power to the lock motor, so after sometime(months) the motor had moved enough to lock the door.
Selecting then deselecting self clean will resolve, for a while.

A permanent solution was to fit a new (updated) module that, cunningly, will retract the motor in the early hours of the morning, when nobody would be about.(providing the clock was set correctly) πŸ˜‰

I have a newly fitted integrated dishwasher that has an apparent problem.

During the wash cycle it will make a horrendous grinding/grating noise. If I interrupt the cycle then restart there is no problem.

Has anyone experienced similar problem and if so can you provide some advice.

p.s. This is our first ever dishwasher so we are novices

    Thanks
