    Re: Indesit W143S Door Seal

Some of the Merloni guys use a spring but this seal just lips on, it could come off again.
I use washing-up liquid on the outside of the seal only where the band fits. Then tie the band with a small cable tie to hold, then use a bent set of pliers. Was swearing on the first one though.

Had a Servis seal i could not fit at all a few weeks ago, it was the correct part number but had to be stretched overnight to fit.

Cured the same problem with a recon main pcb, the guy on the phone said it was a common power supply failure.

Update, what i thought was a fault code was normal for this machine, so the machine was just not locking the door 😳
Took the pcb off and it was covered in carbon dust, cleaned it came back to life.

Did have one causing me problems, not sure if connected but found something caught in the front fan. Could be a poor flow of cool air making it condense on the back panel

All the others have been cured with the normal pump / clean out you have already done.

Thanks for the tip, will get my meter on it.
Usually there are a few of the same type on a pcb to check against, this only has the one.

Amazing how Beko can produce a dishwasher pcb for £20 and AEG charge £100 to £200 for each of the 3 in this machine.

    Have a good week

Re: AEG dishwasher FAV507601D dispenser always open

    Thanks Chris 🙂

Having looked at the pcb, one side of the coil is connected to the middle of the triac. The other just links down to the main pcb. I am not skilled enough to test between a device failure or a logic fault asking the dispenser to open.

May have to cut my losses here if there is no common fault.

    Cheers
