ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher sgs4012 not heating
You need to check the resistance of the heating element which is on the RHS
face on and just behind the main circulation motor.
Plug out,lid off and side panels off.If you are not confident of doing this yourself then perhaps you should
use the contact an engineer link…….This is still a good machine however the price of a new element assembly
is reasonably priced (cough) at around the £100 so unless you can pickup
a 2nd hand one it is prob landfill time.DIY wise its not too bad a job….getting the part at a sensible cost is a little harder!

Check out the thread below.
sounds like your heater element…is it heating?CJAPeterborough
ParticipantRe: Bosch D/washer SGS43E02GB/43 switches off and on?
As you say it is intermittent and you dont get a consistent error-could be all kinds of things…..
What happens if you dont use the time delay?
Are you sure all the door seals are clean and there is nothing trapped between the undertray and bottom of the door-you say there is possibly a bad contact re touching the door?
Could be a loose wire or bad contact on the door switch.
Have you checked the connections to the switch etcCJAPeterborough
ParticipantRe: Bosch Exxcel SGS46E02GB -main motor leaking-some help?
Just to update this thread as I have now managed to repair the machine.
I obtained a 2nd hand circulation pump and used the seal parts from the
front as replacement for the leaking housing.Prior to installing in the machine I blocked the side port with cling film lay the
pump on its back and filled with water to check for leaks.Took sometime to sort as it was hard to get the pump back into the machine
totally leak tight both to the sump and to the heating element housing.
I used cable ties initially but in the end had to use a jubilee clip to get a good seal to the element housing.Anyway we got there in the end and many thanks for the advice and pointers given!

Have you checked the continuity of the switch wires back to the control board?
Any evidence of damage to the board?
You have cleared the pressure feedpipe to the pressure switch OK?Sounds like the PCB so far -hope I am wrong…

ParticipantRe: bosch exxcel slimline not washing properly
Bosch seems to suffer more than most clogging up with all kinds of gunk and there are lots of posts on the problem.
you will need to remove lid and LH side panel (facing the machine) and then
take a look at the matrix and pressure chamber-also the front pipe is likley to be gunged up also. You will then need to thoroughly clean those items….
A good starter thread is below

Be safe and make sure the machine is unplugged before venturing in!

ParticipantRe: AEG Lavamat 51635 balance problem
Not so familiar with the AEG but is likely to have a ring weight on the front
of the drum usually held on by strap and/or a combination of bolts.I have cured a couple of Bosch wobbles with the top weight becoming slightly
loose and then moving a cm or two towards the rear of the machine.
This seems to upset the balance and changes the movement of the drum within the case. The pump issue is much harder to diagnose as it may be working but not efficiently enough.
if you time the drain it should probably be less than 60sec to empty.-some of the more experienced folk on the forum should be able to be more specific wrt timings
Good luck!

ParticipantRe: Siemens Extraklasse Dishwasher progamming issue
you need to post the model and fd numbers on the door rim at 12 oclock
usually imprinted in the stainless.
From what you have said the first thing to check is the heating element resistance as you say there is no heat.
Search for Bosch and heating there are a few threads….(Bosch=Seimens)CJAPeterborough
ParticipantRe: AEG Lavamat 51635 balance problem
You can try tightening the concrete weights in case they are loose.
.may also be a tired drain pump not removing the water fast enough…..just suggestions…June 28, 2010 at 9:16 pm in reply to: Bosch Exxcel SGS46E02GB -main motor leaking-some help? #323723CJAPeterborough

Thanks for the replies-I had tried an 8mm socket on the centre nut but it wouldnt budge….that is anticlockwise….
Will have another crack at it tomorrow with luck!June 28, 2010 at 2:34 pm in reply to: Bosch Exxcel SGS46E02GB -main motor leaking-some help? #323720CJAPeterborough
ParticipantRe: Bosch Exxcel SGS46E02GB -main motor leaking-some help?
Thanks Clive for the help….
Well managed to get the main motor out and the front away from the main
motor exposing the O ring which seems very oversized for the housing. Can anyone tell me how I go about getting the rest of the front assembly away from the main pump/motor?
ie where the screwdriver is pointing in the pic?
I dont want to us the “big” hammer in case I wreck it……
There is corrision on the motor housing on lhs of the pic but I cant decide if the leak was due to in correctly fitted O ring in the first place or something that is hiding behind the still secured plastic front?

ParticipantRe: Bosch Exxcel SGS46E02GB -main motor leaking-some help?
Many thanks for the advice-will update re my progress when I fit the parts!
Will probably hunt down a motor as oem replacement cost about the same as the seal kit….slightly off topic but….
As a general observation this machine was manufactered in EU (no stainless
imprint) and had a sticker for the model code and FD number. Is this a reflection on the quality of the manufacture? -surely for the main pump to have a problem and a failed drain pump with little sign of use(matrix) in less than 3 years would suggest this Bosch aint as good as it should be (or what I would expect from the brand)?
For me its an enjoyable challenge to sort out (fix) but it may suggest other sources of Bosch machines outside Germany may not be quite as good?
Just a thought….

ParticipantRe: Siemens SE24T250GB/17 Problem
hi
I have seen this fault with a jammed circulation motor.
Drain pump works fine but there is not much circulation?Remove the RHS of the machine and check the main motor is turning.
It will be a blur if the motor is running OK
If not PLEASE turn the power off and then you can move the motor vanes with your finger or suitable screwdriver etcI have posted pics of the motor in my recent thread just below yours….

ParticipantRe: Bosch Exxcel SGS46E02GB -main motor leaking-some help?
Thanks for the reply I have got a price for the seal set and will either order that or if I can lay my hands on a 2nd hand circulation motor replace the whole unit.
In general terms what is the best order to do things when removing the tub?
1.Remove door-discconnect wiring harness etc
2.Remove matrix
3.inner tub sump release and salt pot
4.remove front chassis screws
5.remove rear chassis screws etc ??I realise then that i will have to then remove the heater assembly and disconnect the motor assembly from the sump etc
Is the motor easy to get in to?-looks like a bayonet fit to the plastic front housing so does it twist apart?
Just looking for a few pointers to make sure I dont wreck anything on the way! Thanks
Chris
