    Re: Stuck eco ball??

If the ball is getting stuck then you must have something trapped in with it. You’ll need to take the sump hose off the bottom of the tub (one screw-up wire clip) so you can see and free off the ball.

The drain pump should easily suck the ball down to allow the water to drain freely but if there is a blockage elsewhere then the ball may not move anyway 😉

It would be worth firstly looking at the motor brushes to see if they’re worn out 😉

About the only way the ball could get stuck is if a foreign object suck as a sock gets caught around it…the only way to check that is to release the sump hose from the bottom of the tub and you will be able to access it.

What are the symptoms you are getting?

If you have a go yourself then don’t forget, plug out at all times :zap:

Almost certainly you still have a blockage somewhere…time to take hoses off. Start with the drain hose, check it’s not coated inside with muck, then have a good look at the sump hose, removing it if necessary. Also check the filter housing inlet and outlet….

That would be one of those allen bolts with a countersunk head then? I think they make those out of cream cheese? 😆

Re: Elelectrolux ESI 6104 Overdosing in rinse aid?

The film could be one of many things but rinse-aid it almost certainly isn’t!

Firstly what brand of rinse-aid are you using?

Secondly what setting have you got the dispenser set to? (it is adjustable using the ‘dial’ just under the rinse-aid compartment lid and should be set at about one third up the scale)

Are you putting salt in the softener reservoir and how long does this last?

Try tasting the film (wipe a little onto your finger tip to taste) and let us know if it’s salty, chalky or soapy?

Sounds very much like the pcb itself i’m afraid, not unknown on a Smeg 😕

Actually the tang just needed to be depressed and would lock the pump back on again after, having said that they are quite a snug fit so unlikely to ‘un-bayonet’ itself IMO

    Glad you got it sorted.

These boards seem to be shockers for suffering when there’s even a slight hint of moisture, we’ve even had to use a hair dryer on brand new machines to get them to work…you could try that?

Firstly and most importantly, the are NO circumstances where you must check the machine power supply with a meter, live testing is not only dangerous but unnecessary too :zap:

Having done so you haven’t eliminated an intermittent power supply anyway. The best way to rule that out is to temporarily run it to another socket outlet and see what happens…if the fault remains then that DOES eliminate the supply being the cause.

    Let us know what happens?

As that’s an MFI product it’s highly unlikely you’ll get a copy, but if you let us know what symbols/buttons/knobs there are on the fascia then we should be able to work it out for you 😉

Re: Indesit IDF125 not washing properly

Logic would dictate that the problem is caused by one of two things :-

Either the water level is too low (insufficient water to spray around) or there is insufficient pressure from the wash pump (the pump is faulty/blocked or the pressure is not directed correctly to the spray arms).

Not sure about your model but some of these have a diverter valve to direct the water to each spray arm in turn, they have been known to fail….

    Re: washing machine

Could be a number of things…first port of call might be the motor. Have a look at the brushes to check their condition.

After that it’s time to get a meter out to check the element hasn’t failed, and then to check that their are no earth faults.

Plug out at all times of course :zap:
