Ahhhh that explains it! Do you have a part number for that element please? (the diagrams are far from clear!)

Yes, in fact the clips will still be within the door, they themselves clip onto the outer door panel inside 😉

ParticipantRe: fitting decor door to Whirlpool ADG7540
The protruding parts of the plastic strips fit into the open holes of the metal outer door section and are pinched tight by a clip. The clip needs opening first by loosening the corresponding door screw by each slot then the decor door is pushed too and slid up to engage the clips. Tighten the clips and it will hold the door.
You will need to position the strips very carefully, or alternatively find some suitably sized wood screws (not too long) and replace the door screws with these so they go right through the metal outer and into the decor door 😉clivejameson

Just a thought….are you sure you reconnected the wiring to the microswitch on the pressure diaphragm the correct way round? Other than that i wonder if you still have a partial blockage somewhere….

ParticipantRe: Accounting Question
I would think you could simply put it through your books along with the rest unless you are using the fixed rate VAT accounting system in which case one might argue that the labouring should be accounted at a different VAT rate. If you are one man band then your labour services are simply that whether you are fixing appliances or fixing trees?

ParticipantRe: Original Servis Quartz any out there
We’ve got one on our patch with a Hitachi badge on it 😯
Last visit was to tell the customer her water pressure was too low to open the cold valve 😆
We had a couple of Sapphires too but haven’t seen them for a few years now so i assume they’re landfill…..

ParticipantRe: Rangemaster ToledoXT 110 (d/f)
Well the neon certainly appears to be part of the hob but that has two wires to supply it and the component that ‘let go’ piggybacks onto the harness at the neon terminals so if anything it might come with the harness but the parts diagram doesn’t seem to show anything.
Just had a thought….if anyone has a wiring or connection diagram i could follow the circuit to find out what it was?

And as a temporary measure attack it with a soldering iron around the seam 😉

Possibly the easiest way is to locate the coin first…shine a torch through the holes in the drum and have a really good look, they usually show up. Then with a piece of wire or a thin screwdriver you can ‘manipulate’ it into the sump hose at the bottom of the tub, tip the machine back at 45o, undo the sump hose and hey presto!
Power off at all times please :zap:

I’ll make a note somewhere of clivejameson’s details. I presume it’s connected to the Sharley Domestics that I used previously when they had a shop in Naphill/Walter’s Ash many years ago.Yep that’s me 😆

The Drum wont move so I took the panel off the back and found the belt was broke. Any ideas? If I dont get it fixed soon I am a dead man. Could it be the bearings?
Thanks in advance,Airways
Unlikely….bearing failure hardly ever results in a seized drum, far more likely you’ve ‘lost’ a piece of clothing behind the drum which will wedge it quite effectively. Have a really good look through the holes in the drum with a torch to find it then retrieve it as best you can possibly even taking a hose off the tub for access. Destroying a wire coat hanger and using that sometimes helps 😉
When the drum is free turning a new belt will sort it for you HERE
