ParticipantRe: no water into integrated diplomat 8252
E1 is ‘water in base’, ie it’s leaking/overfilling.
Tip machine back at 45o with towels around it the drain the base pan then find the leak….plug out of course :zap:

One final thing you could try is the reset procedure which IIRC is to switch on the power button and press the program button four times within 3 seconds but i have to say i’m not hopeful sorry 😕
Incidentally an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you an accurate price.

ParticipantRe: How to dismantle a Zanussi WDJ 1074?
Ah that age old problem of getting technical information…. we in the trade sometimes have the same problem as manufacturers withhold stuff, or copyright it 😕
Also…if you read the forum sticky we are not allowed to give out detailed information that may allow you to hurt yourself (we have no idea of your competence)
However if you take out the dispenser drawer to expose any screws 😉 and then spend an age with a torch looking for hidden plastics barbs you might get somewhere 😉
Don’t forget, power off before doing anything :zap:
HTH?

Almost certainly the pcb then i’m afraid 😕
Not sure of the price TBH but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s closer to £200 than £100 so might be worth getting a professional in to check the rest for you and give you an estimate before you splash out on the off-chance?

ParticipantRe: Belling format 600X (old one) oven fan
Was it a genuine fan motor?…fitted a pattern one now and again which have a built in TOC which plays up….just a thought because you are correct, the fan motor should run all the time the oven is on.
The pcb’s work slightly differently depending on the age, most are like a relay board using triacs (maybe it should be calles a triac board? 😆 ) switching the cooling fan, interior lights etc. The later ones IIRC gave an overrun on the cooling fan.

ParticipantRe: Wirlpool ADP 5962 – Flashing Start button
Spinfast was quite correct…the only fault indicator on these is the number of times the start light flashes and in this case four flashes relates to a drain failure…usually! Another cause of this is a gunged up diaphragm switch…if you lift out the filter and look at about the 3 o’clock position in the sump you will see a black grid…make sure this is clean (don’t poke a sharp object through the holes as it can rupture the diaphragm)

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP4522 – no heat
Yes elements can and often do trip RCD’s when they blow….don’t forget you actually have two entirely different types of trip on your system…the RCD is better known as an ‘earth leakage’ trip which protects the whole system on older installations, and everything except the lighting on newer systems.
You also have MCCB’s (miniature circuit breakers) which are the row of trips that protect each individual circuit…these are over-current devices much like a fuse is (the handy difference for you is they are resettable…no fiddling with fuse wire!)
When an element blows it can take out the RCD and MCCB in one hit 😉

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Mistral FF72P casing gets hot
Have you checked the condenser is clean? (pull off lower kick panel and hoover out)

ParticipantRe: Smeg Dishwasher DWI612C
If they won’t even go off when you switch off…try switching off at the wall/supply switch and restoring power again.
It’s possible that the pcb has let go, and if it has there’s also a possibility that another component has failed and damaged the pcb 😕
If you need an engineer then try the link below?

ParticipantRe: best way to clean out drainage channel
I rather suspect the smell is not coming from the inside of the cabinet, or the drain tube for that matter….it will be where the cream has settled into the evaporation tray on the compressor. The only cure for that….and it’s not difficult, is to get to the back of the machine, unclip the tray and wash it thoroughly 😉
I had to do this a few years ago after the lady of the house had spilled a milk bottle with much of it going down the drain tube….i can only describe the smell as being something akin to vomit 😯

ParticipantRe: problem with Bosch washing machine – wire stuck in drum
I usually spend a few minutes gently coaxing bra-wires with a couple of thin screwdrivers to get one end to poke through the drum…..as soon as it does grab with pliers and pull like fury 😆 This is successful maybe 2 times out of five so worth a go.
If that fails….front off and drop the sump hose to get access 😉

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP4522 – no heat
Yes, the turbo element (fan element) will have blown. Assuming the stat light comes on when you select the temperature?
If you want a replacement an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk quoting the model number will produce results 😉
Don’t forget to isolate the appliance before doing anything :zap: or alternatively try the link below to find an engineer to replace it for you?

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Mistral FF92P Fridge Section Warm !! HELP !!
spadders wrote:Just out of curiosity, any idea why the fridge section wouldn’t have cooled when the fan was running though?
The faulty thermistor(s) cause the evaporator to choke with ice preventing the cold air from being blown up into the fridge compartment 😉

ParticipantRe: Diplomat integrated dishwasher cannot select wash progra
This particular model is made by Smeg. Have a search through the forums using ‘Smeg AND reset’ to find the procedure. they are known for having some strange faults which can sometimes be sorted by resetting.
If that doesn’t work then let us know which lights are on and which are blinking by giving them a number i.e. the left hand light as number one, the next to it going right as number two etc…this will translate into a fault code which will give an indication of the fault.
