Should be able to on some of the older machines but depends on board fitted and would need product no to start with

I agree with insulation fault on dryer heaters – had some strange faults on these machines as of late

You say you have checked heater insulation – have you checked dryer heater as well as i’ve had some strange faults on these caused by dryer heaters ? and have you tried diagnostics

Bog Standard clips are 12mm – I have always used these on the whirlpool DW pumps and sump hose – perfect fit but never had to fit one onto a Hotpoint pump

I had a ZWF1621 doing the same and changed most parts including control module, heater and pump the only major part not changed was the motor – never managed to correct fault as customer decided to replace machine. on the odd occasion I did manage to get fault code but was unlisted and can’t remember what it was now. I did wonder if it could have been a faulty overload in motor.
