    Re: servis module

Just be abit canny with the drain pump as there were two types fitted, the original one had a bayonet fit whilst the later on had screw type (Askoll or Plaset – also note that there are two sizes of pump on the screw fit ie the old servis pump from earlier models does not fit the later) If the module is a 546089203 remember that this on connection is reprogrammed by the facia board. If this is also stuffed (very rare) you would need the Servis PDA to reprogramme it.

    Re: Refrigeration ‘interim personnel certificate’

The interim certificate is to do with experience not the type of tools that you use. If you were able to submit some form of evidence that you have worked on CFC/HCFC gased appliances you could have registered for the certificate. Unfortunately, the closing date was 4th July 2009. 😥

Have just heard this one not substanciated – they are offering franchises to engineers, you put in £30K and they ‘promise’ to give at least £68K in work. You have to get a van etc. – Anyone noted a whisper 8)

There is a 6 amp 20mm fuse on the top main pcb (located on the top of the appliance) replace it with the standard 6.3 used in microwave ovens.

I think you idea Chris is the correct one. Perhaps, and correct me if Im wrong, is that Rob works for Comet? Also, not sure why but no doubt someone does, did he not try to cancel his account somewhile ago – ?? I might add as a plus whenever I’ve wanted any technical info on refrigeration products he has been more than helpful. He gets the thumbs up from me but need the funnies sorting first.

Have a good time with your family, excusing the circumstances, the good thing about having kids/grandkittens is that just when you think they have left they come home. Got a houseful at the mo all three back and queing up for a shave. Keep off the cream teas and watch you figure 😀

Re: Indesit DG6145 Compartment door not opening

Likely to be the detergent dispenser – try this, close the dispenser with nothing in it, place the tablet in the cutlery basket. Put it on a normal wash with plates etc in and let the program go through. At the end of the cycle see if the flap has opened, if so the dispenser is OK if not then you need a replacement dispenser. Either way if you continue putting the tablet in the basket you can continue using the appliance until you get it sorted. 😀
