    Re: Anybody had scrap nicked?

Yep had 5 machines pinched a couple of months ago together with about 40 scrap compressors. Now have to lock up or workshop yard during the day and all skips (40 yarders) have chains and padlocks on them. It still didnt stop 3 men carrying away a scrap fridge freezer during the night though. Why would you pinch a scrap f/f I wonder ?? :rolls:

At this point I would discount the thermistor (that is with the baffle plate off and hanging), firstly how did you confirm that both pipes are clear? As stated earlier the evaporator fan does not come on untill the evaporator is below freezing and allowing for the freezer door being closed and the fan running within the freezer then air has to circulate unless the pipes are blocked with ice.

There are two tubes, one to let in the cold air and the other to recirculate it back to the freezer. If both tubes are not clear then you will not get any circulation of cool air.

    Re: Diplomat Module?

There are two types of motor fitted to this machine, one uses an induction motor the other a brush type that why you must fit the correct module. Regarding faults, check belt tension and heater insulation. You could get a guaranteed recon module from EMW – http://www.emwelec.co.uk

Yes we do the same type of work, we always bill the letting agency, its their responsibility to recover the money from the tenant not ours 8)

Re: AFM 6855 BUILT IN F/F

I have the tech sheet which I will forward to you but the basic points are – the fan switches off when the door is opened. The first time the appliance is connected to the electric it goes into defrost – the fan will not come on until the defrost is finished (usually 25 minutes) and both the compressor and fan can be off for a further 7 minutes ie total 32mins. So if you have just switched it off/unplugged it you can have this delay before it starts up again.

Re: Hotpoint FEW 12, change of belt

Its one of these jobs where you need three hands but try this. First switch the power off and unplug. With the top off get someone to pull the tub assembly forwards – then get the belt around the motor pulley and feed it up the side of the large drum pulley. You will get to a point where it feels as though you cant go any further but with one hand hold the belt on and with the other turn the large drum pulley taking the belt with it. Eventually, and bit by bit it will go all the way around. When you get it on check that the belt is in the motor pulley grooves correctly and after a hand spin, the belt should centralise on the drum pulley.

    Re: Samsung rs21ncms door

If you look on the left hand side of the cabinet near the bottom you will see a stuck on label. If you go through the label you will see the serial number and the model number. If you can post the model number which ends with /XEU I should be able to help you with a part number. Reason – Samsung uses so many variations of both colour and door handle design we need the full specification.

Wrong answer – to store any WEEE you are required to have a Waste Management License Exemption under Para 41. (Environmental permitting (England & Wales) Regulation 2007.
