Is the ‘universal stat’ a VT9/VL9 and if so which wires have you connected to what?

Part number – OVGLASSW Outer door glass white – would suggest you speak to Dave Conway first as you will probably need a bank loan to pay for it 😛

Re: The weather is hot and I have no ice ?

The issues covered by the RS21 extended guarantee refer to the refrigerator section only. Water to the ice maker is fed from the water supply directly not thro the filter – perhaps the water supply has an air lock or has frozen up where it passes through the rear into the ice maker.

    Re: REDUNDANCIES AT COMET

Welcome aboard Trevor, I think you may well be surprised how highly we value Comet engineers on here. In nearly all cases you are respected as another engineer saddled with the muppetry of a large company. most of us were shafted by the other Big C so know what you went through. Helo has been waving the flag for sometime now and as you will see does not suffer both customers and engineers lightly. Look forward to you posting

    Re: Newspaper classified advert sizes?

When I first started up I was given a piece of advice by an advertising agency friend. It seems to work. Forget the boxes and such just put a three liner in the articles for sale part of the paper but you have to do it every week. Cheaper and it gets the work.

It looks like the thermistor is not available as a spare part, it may be that it is foamed in the cabinet and is not replaceable.

Re: AEG B 2.60 D Poor heating, not No Heat

OK here we go. The oven has one square element behind the fan cover for use during the fan oven phase. It has a further two elements, one at the top and one at the bottom of the oven which are switched in during conventional operation. One the subject of control of temperature, I would suggest that you might replace the oven thermostat which has a part number of 661188341. I would further hazard a guess that one of the two conventional elements have gone, which is why it takes so long to reach a minimum temp. Hope that helps. Good luck – Ian.
