Re: Whirlpool DWF 415 – ‘Stuttering/machine gun’ noise

I reckon it’s going to be an Askoll pump. It makes this noise when the magnet cracks and gets worse as the wash goes on.
You’ll have to check the wash motor/pump on your machine, if it’s Askoll then it’s a near certainty it needs replacing.
Does it have a little trouble starting the wash? a little stutter?

Time lag fuse is ok for these.

    Never use the customers loo.
Tesco, Asda, McDonalds, Burger King and greasy spoons. Loads of em on my patch. Also got the public loos on “points of interest” on the sat nav 😛

Blocked spray arms are the favourite. Also check that the feed pipe to top hasn’t popped out of the sockets at the back of the mesh filter.
Finally, poor circulation from an Askoll pump.

    Re: Whirlpool temperature problem

The motorised air damper had frozen open, hence the freezing in the freezer.
The software on the machine will attempt to rectify the problem (if machine is newer than 2003) before defaulting to an error code “d”.
Older machines can’t try to rectify unless the electronics have been changed, they will just give error code “d”.

Trying to compensate for the temperatures won’t do anything if the dampers stuck.

The start button light will be flashing a code to you.
Count the number of flashes between pauses and post the result here.
Someone will then be able to help you further.

Sorry, I don’t know the layout of the controls but you’ll find the codes on page 3 of known error codes.

Re: Setting Water Level for Diplomat Washer?

Did you set it to program 2? If not then what you describe would happen.
If you did then a call to Whirlpool will confirm whether there’s been an update to the software removing or changing this facility.

Re: Setting Water Level for Diplomat Washer?

    Hiya,
    Sorry, missed this one.
Switch the dishwasher on and ensure the start light is out.
Set to the second program (40 degree on mine).
Now press and hold the start button until it starts flashing. Release the start button and count the flashes to find out the current setting.
Press the start button to change the setting. Once you’ve got the setting you want, switch off with the power button.
    That’s it done.

Switch off at the mains, wait a couple of minutes, switch on again. It should go onto defrost mode before starting up.

If it’s the Askoll pump I’ve got a spare front for one of them. I’m still using the Askoll pumps on my own dishwasher, 1 front half and 1 complete left. 😛

    Re: Diplomat ADP8322

If the flowrate of water coming in is low, kinked inlet hose or clogged/faulty pressure switch will all cause this to happen. There’s a remote chance of it being a faulty pcb.

Flooded base or Askoll wash pump.
Shorting out of the askoll pump was a common fault. Had quite a few pulsing due to flooded base.

    Re: Diplomat ADP8322

The flowmeter is at the bottom front of the water matrix. Take the left hand panel off and you’ll see it there.
Unplug, clean the pcb, tighten the connection. That normally gets it working again.
Round black thing on the base? anti flood device, three tag microswitch.
The other part is the water indicator.
