Click on shop@ on the left to get the part.
Best to check before ordering if there have been any more upgrades to the elctronics which might affect your machine. (I stopped working for the Whirlpool agent a year ago so my information may be a little out of date).
I can’t go into specifics regarding fitting of the part but it’s behind the bottom panel on the rear of the machine.

Hiya,
There are some test procedures you can carry out.
It’s pretty long winded so I’ll try and scan the sheets and email them to you.

Ok, have to admit to getting the date code wrong.
The new electronics were introduced in 2003, not 2002. Machines produced after week 30 2003 have the new electronics.
(Should have read the manual and not relied on my failing memory 😛 )Brian

Hiyas,
Mick you only require the rear board as your product number indicates your machine is already fitted with the new electronics.Wadey, unfortunately your product number indicates that your appliance is fitted with the older electronics and you will require both boards, or if your extremely lucky at sourcing one, an older board.

On the rating label are two 12 digit numbers. Post them here and we’ll be able to tell you if you need one or both boards.

Sorry, don’t know anyone does that recon boards for these.
I did however try changing relays on a couple of boards but found the problem lay deeper in the electronics. Didn’t have enough time to dig any deeper so shelved that project. (Might get around to it again one day as there might be a market for these.)
The only cure I know of is to change the rear board (and the front if your machine is an older one).DP

Continuous flash is normally a single flash and this would indicate a faulty NTC. Accessed from the underside of the machine.
The fault codes are only a guide for the engineer and there is a possibility that there is something other than the NTC wrong.

Strange one, Can’t think of anywhere you’d get oily deposits from.
When the start light is flashing you need to count the number of flashes between pauses. This will give the error code.
If the water is really filthy you need to look at how the waste pipe is plumbed in, if it’s onto a spigot under the sink I’d guess your getting water from the sink drain going back down the drain hose into the dishwasher.DP

ParticipantRe: Buggered Bauknecht.
Hiya,
The 2 flashes would indicate a flooded base and the 6 flashes a fault with the flowmeter.
The error codes are only a guide as to what the fault may be. If the base isn’t flooded I’m afraid it’s going to be engineer time to sort it out.

ParticipantRe: British Gas To Drop Appliance Servicing?
The earth loop testing isn’t something new, it’s part of the tests carried out at every repair and every inspection. It was in place last February when I started working for them. It has to be done before and after every repair, as well as all the other tests.
I’ve had a look at my last years contract and my current one and the only notable change is the insurance element has been removed and is replaced by “a refund of premiums”.
If a consumer unit fails the test and the customer has home electrical care then it would be repaired or replaced under the scheme. However, if it failed and no scheme is in place a sub standard form would be left with the customer and they would be asked if they would like BG to quote for replacement.
Same goes on the kitchen appliance scheme, if it fails the earth loop it is repaired. If customer doesn’t have kitchen appliance care we wouldn’t be testing or even looking at their appliances.
As to the bonus scheme, I’m probably not allowed to comment so I’ll refrain. SmileBrian

The ice maker fault can be tricky to diagnose, faulty inlet valve, main pcb, icemaker, icemaker optics, frozen feed pipe, the list of possibilities goes on. The thump you hear when you stop dispensing water could be the inlet valve closing. The fan you hear kicking in when you close the doors is the one in the freezer blowing cold air into the fridge, as the freezer isn’t cooling down then the fridge isn’t going to either.
The — in the freezer display tells you that the temperature has risen above -13 deg c.
You will need an engineer to diagnose this one, could be the compressor or the electronics at fault.
Click on repairs@ on the left side of the page or post your post code here and someone will help you find an engineer.

The start light should be flashing to indicate a fault. The number of flashes between the short pause indicate the error code.
If it’s not flashing then it’s possible the electronic module is faulty although there are numerous other possible causes.
To be honest, with this type of fault you’re going to need an engineer to diagnose properly, rather than throwing parts at it.

F7 refers to a problem with the flow meter.
Chances are you’ll require an engineer for this one. Click on the repairs@ to check for your postcode.

What part of the schematic and circuit diagram are you looking for?
There isn’t any diagrams for the electronic boards only for the wiring.
I’ve got a training manual for these appliances somewhere.Brian
