Communication failure. Either the front board, rear board or both need replacing.
If the machine is pre week 33 2002 it needs both boards.
    Pretty expensive.

    Re: whirlpool adp8322 d/w

In the distant past, when I worked for the now defunct Whirlpool agent, I had a few machines giving f4, of the ones I remember, two were syphoning, one had a flooded base and another was cured by rewriting the software to the module.

Some machines are fitted with an Optical Water Indicator (Turbitity sensor). (Seem to remember this from Whirlpool Training days).
If memory serves me right it’s in the sump somewhere
As the fault is temperature related the NTC could be causing the problem. (The error codes aren’t always correct).

Check the connections to the flowmeter at both ends, clean out the pressure switch and if all else fails try another NTC and/or pressure switch.

Re: Whirlpool S25B-RSS31-A/G. Freezer not working

The hyphens on the freezer display indicate that the temperature has risen in the freezer to above -11 deg c. The “d” on the fridge display indicates a problem with the damper in the fridge.
There are a few reasons why the freezer may have failed. These include the compressor, compressor fan, evaperator fan, thermistor, thermal fuse or the main board.
The fridge won’t get cold if the freezer isn’t working as it takes cold air from the freezer into the fridge via the damper. From your description you may also have a faulty damper.
The SAM or service assist module, will allow the engineer to read the last stored error code, either hyphens or d, so I don’t see it being of much help in this case.
As to the payment part, you really need to discuss that with the repairer.

My own one does it indefinitely, kids turn the alarm off too so who knows how long it’s been running. 😛

    Whirlpool Dolphin Range of Dishwashers.
Make sure it’s empty before doing this.
Select the first program, normally rinse.
Switch off. Press and hold the start button and switch back on. Light will start to flash, release button. Press the start button and close the door. Machine will now go through a diagnostic by filling, washing, heating and draining. Any errors will be shown by the start button light flashing a code.

    Nice one Martin.
The only bit I have a problem understanding is why they changed the design on current production to resolve the issue if, as they say, there is no risk with them.

As far as I remember you can buy the pump without the motor. Dave will be able to advise better on this.

LOL, I wish, no, set it going on the way out to some jobs and called in on the way back. I’ll stick the clamp meter on it next visit to check if it’s drawing current when it should be heating.
Thanks for the email, very much appreciated.
