Its the part behind the filter that the pipework plugs into. Known problem. Unfortunately don’t have access to the diagrams anymore.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool ADP5966 Error F8
F8 is normally cause by the filters being blocked or the water is foaming up.
Remove the filters including the large mesh one and check that they are clean and unblocked.
Failing that you’ll need to see if it’s foaming up. If it is, check the settings for your rinse aid dispenser.DP

Ah, now that’s the one thing I do know about microwaves. Learned it the hard (daft?) way. 😳

ParticipantRe: Ignis ADL 347 integrated diswasher
Hiya,
It’s a Whirlpool machine and if you’re not getting any error codes it’s possible the module has failed. The module cannot check itself so doesn’t give an error code when it throws it’s hand in.
If you are getting a flashing start button you’ll find the fault codes are posted for Whirlpool dishwashers.
With washing up liquid having gone through I would have expected a flooded base. If it’s deep enough and shorting out the pump (only happens if it has an Askoll one, this has the power connections on the bottom, daft idea that) then you can get a dead machine with no error code.
There are 4 machines listed with this model number. You’ll need the 12NC number to get the correct module, if you need one.Brian

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Cooker
Possibilities are a faulty controls unit or a faulty capricorn board.
Power off before checking or doing anything. Try unplugging the front controls from the capricorn board and plugging them back in. If that doesn’t work then one or both have gone faulty.DP

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool ADP5966 Dishwasher Start Light Flashing
Is it the same model? Did you tip it slightly to drain the base? How many flashes from the start button? (it will flash a number of times, pause, then repeat).

ParticipantRe: whilpool b/i dishwasher. stops on rinse
Yep, the two blue wires go to the NTC and I still think it’s the NTC failing during the final hot rinse. Be interesting to see what happens on a 70 deg wash.

ParticipantRe: whilpool b/i dishwasher. stops on rinse
If memory serves me correctly I’ve come across this, or a very similar, fault once before.
The machine would work ok on engineers test program and 50 degree wash but would fail on the 70 degree wash. I can’t remember if the start light flashed or whether the machine just kept washing though.
Changed the NTC, which checked out ok on diagnostics and on the meter, and this cured the fault.
The final rinse on these machines is a very hot rinse, could be the NTC is failing at this point.
Hope this is of some help.Brian

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool ADG 954/2 – Broken Pump?
Have to agree with Martin, it certainly sounds like the motor and/or pump has siezed/failed. There is a slight possibility that the motor capacitor has failed, this would normally give a quiet hum from the motor as opposed to a loud hum. Past experience on these has shown that the pump seal fails and leaks water onto the motor bearings.
The pump should be available as a seperate part from the motor but from your descriptions we have no way of knowing for sure whether the motor is ok or not.
The part numbers I have for the pump is 481990501202, the wash pump motor is 481990501201 and the capacitor is 481990501139.
Dave will be able to tell you whether these numbers have been changed and give you an idea on price.DP

ParticipantRe: Diplomat Oven
Had this once before on a diplomat, quite a long time ago infact. Ended up having to call one of their engineers who told me to reverse the connectors.
Well, pretty sceptical, but did as I was told and bu**er me it worked.
Never did find out why though.
Gotta be worth a try.Brian

Someone else’s serial number won’t help you at all. Each machine will have a different number.
There’s something like 16 different model variations for that part number too.
I take it you were talking to Whirlpool customer care, did they tell you to take the salad bins out and look for the model and serial there?

The item to the right rear of the machine is the wash pump. The drain pump should be near the front and will have the grey drain hose attached to it.
