    Re: Smeg DI612CA Dishwasher

are you saying it runs through the pre rinse (ie the cold prewash), then empties, re fills and starts washing for 5 minutes or does it just complete the back rinse sequence ansd then starts the wash before aborting?
Allways best to test these on the quick or glass wash as it goes straight into main wash.
if its the latter then would suggest its overfilling due to pcb failure and the error code ties in with this.

yes, sounds like pcb. common fault on the full size ones but normaly overfill intervenes.

dont know but 2 pressure switches shown on that model, assume one may be a heater safety.

that is a no drain error. although you can hear the pump running, is the small amount of water in the sump being drained out?

its just a hose, unscrew it and fit a normal one will soon eliminate or prove the point.

How do you know its not overfilling? once the fill times out it pumps out anyway. You need to tell us exactly what it is doing. Favorite is pcb failure ignoring the pressure switch.

not shown on the parts list. although the manual describes it as a “rubber coupling”

    Re: GPRS Credit Card terminals

Mine is on Vodaphone and coverage was patchy but they told me to reconfigure it to GSM instead of GPRS (it took 2 years of complaining before they told me this mind)and its much better and quicker that way. Still, had one customer lead me up to her bedroom the other day under the pretence that its the only place in the house where there is a signal! I dont know, the tricks these housewives try on 😆

they are not perfect though and there is no safe option of taking a card with no signal AFAIK. Still some way to go before we can ditch cheques altogether.

careful Jim, 2 of these I did also needed the display board, no obvious damage but no lights or functions when turned on.
