assuming there is no wiring breakages, then have to suspect the pcb down the bottom, poss dry joint I guess. Some of these had incorrect pcb’s fitted from new but I guess it has worked up to now so that shouldnt be an issue.
    Any error code showing?

would have traded a draw before the match but with the Arse down to 10 and the way we were playing we should have won. A bit dissapointed. Must be a while though since we had a season not losing to that lot in the league.

If its the motor bearing shot then you will need more than just the sealing kit. TBH you wont know the full extent until it is removed. Unlikely to be just the seal.

A little more detail and model number may help, Jota.

problem is that what may be the lowest price to one account holder is not nessesary the lowest to another, as we well know.

Re: What are the best quality bearings and where do you buy

bearing in mind 😆 our use of bearings is not a safety issue then the use of high quality bearings is, imo, a waste of money. Whats more our use is at the very bottom end of the stress level they are designed for. How many of our bearing changes are due to worn or damaged bearings? A tiny percentage at a guess.
I think the poised question should be: what are the best quality bearing seals and where do you buy?

OI its not a fault code, OK!

It could be a jammed alt valve as that is dead centre.

    Re: SMEG D/W MODEL DF614BE

all smeg error codes are essentially the same and that is not any of them. Unlikley to be the diverter valve as that would give you an E8. Its a stepper motor and a microswitch so it should be easy enough to ID if the noise is coming from it. IME its only ever the dispenser that makes that chattering noise. The only other source could be the regen valve on the water softner, just take the sides off and run it, it shouldnt be too hard to work out where its coming from.

Re: Zanussi DE6854 no lights / action

Need meters and stuff to check that supply is reaching the module, not for the DIYer.

Just one question, did you always turn off the machine when not in use or leave it on with lights showing? Often find these sort of faults are when they are left on and transformers/ resistors etc are permanently connected and more likey to burn out.

Very outside chance its the on off switch but more likely a pcb failure. Generally if power is reaching the pcb then there should be lights.

Re: Hotpoint Aqaurius front door leak with new seal

Its got a blocked pressure chamber, take the front of the machine off and its screwed into the side of the tub on the right hand side as you look at the drum. Its a white, half banana shaped tube with 2 small pipes coming out the top. Held on by 3 screws, will need a short phillips screwdriver to undo it.
Leaking door seal is probably due to too much water in the tub in the first place. May find you have burned the heater out as well.
    unplug before doing anything.

    Jim.

What is this “tops” place. A friend of mine on another forum used the same expression today and posted a photo of the “tops” Is this the same “tops” or are there more than one “top” up there?
