    Re: Rusting Manual

We used to get that problem with the Brandt German machines, even left a rusty mark on the stainless drum sometimes. 😳

Are you talking about the drain pump or the circ pump? Circ pump impellors often get clogged with stuff on these causing the lack of pressure in the arms.

yes, but check all the airways, especially under the filter in the front panel, to find out why it has tripped in the first place. Easy to check and temp by pass the toc to find out. One big one on top of the heater and a small one hidden on the side of the heater. Both should be closed circuit IIRC. It will be the small one that will have tripped but the kit contains both. I have the kit in stock if you need it.

We always stick a new ntc in the rubber belloes at the front of the machine for a F14 fault, although have a tug at the wiring to it as they can break at the plug. its a common problem on these.

was the old spring broken or just not tensioning the hook? usually find its the rounded section of the hook that breaks on these. Never known a problem fitting a new one….

can see it works but feel it would sometimes be just too much hassle to get it all out of the van and set it up and would still be pulling them out by hand save for the odd occasion by which time it will have siezed up or something. plus the colour of that thing around his neck would clash awfully with my work wear.

despite the solonoid on the dispenser clicking, it could still be the problem, connect up any old valve coil to prove this.

this dishwasher is leaking from the overflow outlet on the meterng tank.
i seem to remember changing one of these tanks before a long time ago and it did not cure the fault. because you have to cut the old one out, it cannot be reversed so i don’t want to try until i have tried everything else. it is also built in nice and tight so i want to go back well prepared. pressure switch checks out ok.
can’t remember how i cured the other one years ago.
    any help would be appreciated.

On those old AEG’s its always the pressure chamber gunged up, impossible to clean and, as stated, needs to be hacksaw’d off! Used to do loads of them, not done one for years now. Not a job I miss.
