Take a kilo of fresh prawns with you in your toolbag. secretly hide it under the kitchen cabinets well out of sight ( if you can drop them under the floor boards then even better). Do the repair as normal, charge as normal + the prwns of course and go home happy in the thought that in a few weeks you will have revenge.

all controled via the module mate, so would go for that. Not unusual to have multiple failures of these.

keep your part time office girls and let them work from home, just divert your phone to whoever is working at any particular time. Holidays are a problem, but then I know of many bosses of larger service organisations who havnt taked a holiday in years either. Generally, in the summer school holidays I find customers quite understanding about being closed for a week-10 days or so, But would advise to keep them as short as possible.

Hey Lurch, what even makes you think its a washer / dryer? None of the E20 error codes would point to this anyway as they are, as Martin suggested, all draining related codes.

AFAIK all those Merloni Service machines have the same door seal either one with a drain spout or without (and sometimes the model number is not good enough to determine which). and of course washer driers have their own respective pair as well. GSK 5136 has a spout.

what I was expecting. do I or dont I throw more money at this appliance? cost of NTC is about the same of the refund I would give customer to decline the job…. but then I would never know and live the rest of my life wondering about that damn microwave.

Yep. microwave ok so door switches sound. Did check them as a last resort.
    Thanks again.
I am guessing it may be the NTC but do not know what the correct resistance should be. The one on it is, AFAICT open circuit but at £50 its a gamble to try it or not.
