Not correcting you Martin but this can remain in place, it only needs to be unstuck from the sticky black insulation to prevent it coming off with the cavity. On the full sized matrix/water tank versions, the cross member supports need removing (just 2 screws) but again the container can remain safely inplace.

Have got a service manual for that 😆 ……no wiring diagram in it though 😥
Most of those i do are under warranty and i fit all the boards and motor, usually work after that.

Filters are a bit of a Miele weak point anyway, have had plenty of instances where the filter cap only has been taken off, washed and put back.
Maybe it was just a blocked air bell, you know how customers get the details wrong.Re: new type Smeg D/Washer model DWF60SSE
Model not recoginsed, if its a late model smeg the air chambers do not get blocked up. Usual leak is the joint beween the air break and the water softner leaking on fill.

sounds like the good old dispenser coil gone phut. Slave on a solonoid valve coil to test it if you havent got a dispenser.

Miele sell ovens as well and if you are not impressed with Neff’s build quality, I cannot see anything else out there that may be any better.

It does have a condenser fan which is where the noise is coming from. It sucks in all the dust and fluff from the kitchen which can collect on the fan and make noises or the rubber motor mounts have gone rotten causing the fan to run at the incorrect angle and catching on the condenser. Either way, you need to remove the fridge to access it properly. Have a good hoover out of the condeser while you are at it.

Some of those Hotpoint/creda dual regs have a tech paper telling you to link S1 & P1. not sure if this apply’s in this instance though.

If it runs for 5 mins I would check for a feed to the circulation pump. They have been known to overheat and cut out after a while.

Best Music DVD release is Jeff Tweedy (of Wilco) Sunken treasure live in the pacific north west..
