    Yeah, I know but its reconciling 3 months of bank statements and tracing odd debit card payments that takes the time as well as finding the money to pay it of course.

    Re: ego/ Diamond H conversion

    Should have a piece of paper with that one Tony, bascily connect the wire that was on the Pilot connection on the Diamond H to S2 on the new Ego item, your then need to link P1 to S1 with a short link wire (also usualy enclosed)
    4 and P2 should also be linked. can fax it over to you if you pm me a number.

    p1= brown live feed
    p2= Blue neutral
    4= blue neutral +wire link to p2
    2= load A red
    2A= load B violet
    s2= pilot neon red
    s1 link to p1

    I said FLOAT switch in response to your original post, meaning there isnt one in the metering unit. Have never had water coming from the anti flood in theory if the diaphram is holed then it may leak but never come across that. Are you sure the water is not coming from somewhere else and just collecting under the anti flood due to it being the lowest point?

    Could be just a blocked pump, not a major problem but you will need an engineer.

    Pretty sure that there is no plastic pulley on the motor shaft, the belt should run in grooves on the metal shaft of the motor with 2 plastic, spring tensioned pullies either side of the belt tensioning it.

    A larder fridge by definition will not have a freezer box. I dont know of a frost free small fridge with freezer box (although most are self defrosting). Frost free components take up a lot of the internal space making in unviable given the small dimensions. You would have to go up to a small, 2 door fridge/freezer to find a frost free one.

    Re: Smeg DWF1.1 E1 Fault

    No float switch on these Tony. The air break pushes direct on to the softner unit. The hose from the softner to the sump has a 90 degree bend in it, if someone has inserted somthing in order to clean it, it may have split it. Also chek the four screws around the sump from inside, they have been known to either work loose or, again, someone undoing them thinking they can clean something down there.

If there is the slightest chance of me damaging any part of the installation or indeed hurting myself, I will not attempt it. I do not have the facility to repair floor coverings, cupboard doors, plumbing etc.

    A picture of a kitchen fitter would be my ideal dartboard target. 😈

    Jim, i was responding to Bill Ellis who seemed to suggest that he wouldnt remove any built in appliance just for the sake of winding the legs down/ disonnecting whatever. And that its unlikely the customer will pay you for a call when no work has been done for that reason.
    Of course i wouldnt take a hammer to floor tiles! But there again cannot think of an instance of having too despite a large part of my work being build ins.

    Every build in is unique, so there can be no tool to aid removal. I seem to remember a certain UKW director expalining he used a hacksaw blade on a stick to cut through rear legs!

    Dont get me started on island hoods though……

    Re: Bespoke kitchen ding dong!

    Its a way of life that we just have to get used to if we want the work and there is a lot of it out there. Adjust pricing to suit an get on with it.

    The “call me back when you get it out” way will more than likely result in a wasted and not charged for call with the customer going elsewhere.
