    Re: Slowdown in Payments Received

Alex, had the same issues lately, the payment notification used to arrive on or just before the date payments were in my account but now that is not the case, often its 2 weeks or so later when payments appear on my statement.
However, that BACS payment advice has always come from their Collindale office, hence the 0208 phone number. Dont think there is much change there.

Probably an electronic control problem. Not too expensive to fix on this one.

That model uses a diverter valve which is controlled by the electronic pcb. Could be either at fault or one of the sensors. Not easy to diagnose. The PCB is around £50 + fitting to give you an idea of cost.

The ‘set point’ will not change but the way the machine measures its water, by air pressure, is probably blocked hence the overfilling and not knowing its empty. You may also have burned out the heater if you keep trying to use it. Its a specialist appliance this one and would recommend calling an engineer.

Re: Hotpoint wma50p – wiring help!

Most of us here have to work without such luxuries due to the manufacturers stance on service info. Which is why we always carefully note wire positions before removing anything. Would really suggest calling in an engineer to help you. Whatever you do dont guess at it.

More than likely it is a coin or something under the inner drum. Use a torch and look through the holes in the drum (go on stick your head in the door like I do!) and try and locate it. You may be able to coax it out through the gap between the door seal and the drum. Or push it into the filter trap in the sump hose and out of harms way.
Worse case would be the heater come loose. Either way may need a drum strip down to remove or investigate. Not really a diy job.

Could be a duff heater, although that normaly causes the program to abort after a certain time.

Try SEME for the parts their LG Parts are more realistcly priced, dont know that model myself, but if its the direct drive, the motor comes off easily (can even leave the coils on if you are carefull.) and drum out the front for splitting. Easier than a WMA and far easier than a Zanussi.

Re: Bosch WFL2860 W/machine – Not filling properly

Is there a problem with it other than that, like poor wash or lights flashing? If not then its probably not a problem. Often they fill higher on rinse and delicate programms so check it on another programme and see what happens. If its not filling as fast as it used to, the dipsenser top section may be blocked but its not usually an issue on these machines.

Re: Whirlpool Gold, American Collection – dusty residue left

It may be detergent related, what are you using? these machines were not designed to use automatic type powders.
There is no filter as such and if you can hear a good gush of water being pumped out then there is nothing to worry about.
