    Re: Cost Price to us

If you sell it with the 5 year labour guarantee, then you will be invoiced a further £51.06 + vat so ensure you have covered this in the retail price. i.e as a guide, £449.99 is the norm for the full 5×5 package.

Looks as though none of us know this one in that guise, any idea who makes it?

2 different belts could be fitted on this one, if you have the one with seperate tensioning pulley’s then you should have 1741117. dont try to fit it if it hasnt got that number on it. If it has not got the tensioning pulley’s then it is 1702342 which is a stretch fit and very tight to fit.

Thanks for that Bob. The trouble with those screws is that they are nearly all differring lengths and stuff, its just a pain when stuff is built that way.

Yep that is what that is, all old Hotpoint enginees still have one, useful for eeprom removal 😆

Infact its damn useful for anyone who, like me repairs Aga companions and modules as it fits the screw heads under the chrome caps perfectly.

If that was pre GDA I doubt it would have a date code as such. One of the worse jobs I ever did was a damper change on one of those. The model range ran for a good few years but the youngest if can be has to be 18 years. If its a metal tub then circa 25 years as a guess.

I used to have engineers like that, get him a magnifying glass. I bet the ’56’ is actually ‘SG’ but send him back, in his own time, to get it right.

After you have done about 10 they are no problem. they come as a little cassette unit so its not too tricky to fit, beware, there are 4 differrent ones on each double oven so make sure you id the correct on using the pictures, if you order by description it will almost certainly be the wrong one. Remember also that they are interlocked, so the oven temp one cannot be turned if its in the grill on position etc

That sounds pretty normal. carefully check that chassis for splits, pretty much a write off if you find one though. The belt, by the way is underneath! suppose it could be a frayed one but that would show up empty i guess.

    Re: Admiral Top Loader AW22

The motor slides on a odd weak looking spring arrangment, not normaly causes a problem though. Watch out for a split chassis, often a cause of noises and also worn out pump pulleys.
