Alex and I out of the top 10…. we can all see who is doing the real work, unlike Robdray who seems to have too much time on his hands 😉

and your excuse for this unproffessional practice? 😆

I, like you assumed they were only relay contact wires and were un important. There was a panasonic microwave that used to catch me out too in the same way.

Re: No info on replacing stats on Hotpoint washer dryer

Not so familliar with this model but the black stat is in fact a thermistor while the other one is a one shot stat that may have tripped because it got too hot. To change this one does involve a strip down of the heater box which is really a job for an engineer who will also be able to find out why it may have failed in the first place. Would have thought that appliance will be under a 5 year parts warranty still.

have seen a couple of these and from memory they are exactly the same as a normal hotpoint w/d but jazzed up to be integrated, they achieved four leg suspension by bolting a lump of angle iron to the normal susp mounting point and then fitting two legs to this each side.

hope that of use to you

spot on there John, just for those of you who have never seen one of these here is a couple of pics:

Note the position of the valves and the sides that just flop down out of the way.

The ‘angle iron’ the great thing about this is only having to undo one bolt each side rather than flaff about with suspension rods etc.

Goose, you know the 2 seperate wires on the board with spade terminals, have you got them back the correct way round? Did a wma tub the other day and I didnt 😳 and had similar sympthoms. My excuse, it was a very poorly lit outhouse on a freezing late afternoon.

    Re: Hotpoint CDT00P

That is basicly just an updated version of a dryer that has been manufacured for many years. No real problem faults with them and its rare we ever change a jockey pulley, even on old ones.
Did it not come with a 5 year parts warranty? Most Hotpoints do/did. would have only saved you the £3.00 though.
Try our repairs@ service next time as most of us charge way below the rate that Hotpopint do.

Deliveries seem to be turning up at any time, no warning and delivery instructions ignored. I know we cannot expect an exact time but the day at least would have been nice.

I got it but the agent number is longer than the one I have already been given the original was three didgets while this one is two – two.

can you see the fan running at the back of the inside of the oven? This model has a noisy cooling fan also which you may hear running.

Re: Miele G522 dishwasher not heating, sticks during wash cy

many older Miele’s have a high pressure pressure switch that prevents the heater from coming on if the circulation pump has failed. The tube leading to this and the switch itself often gets blocked up with grease preventing it from operating, hence no heat. I cannot tell if your model has this or not and its not really a diy job. Power off before looking.

    Any ideas??? ❓ ❓ ❓ ❓

was it the correct motor? some of those use a different Tacho set up which could cause those problems. Post the part number.
