Have you checked for sure that the top arm is turning and not blocked or jammed? Often the door stats depend on this to read the temperature. common prob on SMeg and Miele.

Re: Hotpoint TDC32 Condenser Dryer problems

Check the condenser is clean. Remove it, its under the front panel kick plate, and hose off any fluff build up (in the garden, its a bit messy). When clean, you should be able to look through it front to back as well as side to side.

Re: Indesit W103 suddenly stops working

Could be anything really from the motor brushes to a problem with the PCB. Make sure you un plug before trying anything.

Remember, on this machine just turning the knob to drain or spin will not alter the original program without going through the reset proceedure first. (select the end of program ‘dot’ switch on and wait for light to flash quickly, switch of and then set new program.)

Re: hardest thing you to do

mentioning salt in the dispenser reminded me of a job the other day on a dishwasher reportedly poor cleaning. After all the usual checks I asked her about detergent and she showed me the box of Calgon water softner tablets! Admittedely they do look exactly the same as a powerball dishwasher tablets but these were an aditive for the washing machine.

    Re: Diplomat Problems

We do a lot of Diplomat dishwashers, Acestu, and this is difnately not a common problem. There are 2 door seals, one that fits around ‘goalpost’ style and a thin one under the bottom of the door that you may not be able to see. You said there is no deal in the corners, do you mean the top corners (wrong) or the bottome corners (correct).

We had been plagued by one of these over the last few weeks, E 20 is a thermistor fault but its usually only a dry joint under the connector plug to the thermistor.

Would recommend not taking the chance and change the interlock anyway. May need full product number as I know of 2 non interchamgerble locks for this range.

    Re: US Grand Prix

Bring on a return to single make ‘control’ tyres so that everyone is on the same tyres and the manufacturer doesnt need to invest so much to beat the others (goodyear pulled out owing to costs involved as soon as Bridgestone anounced they were entering which would have meant their costs spiralling) and no one will have an advantage. Whats more the tyres can be rock hard rubber with less grip and hey we get exciting racing again, assuming the traction control can be turned off as well.
Michelin however should hold their heads in shame for this, its not as if its a new track they have never been too before is it? and anyway, they knew of this problem during last week, surely a jumbo of new tryes could have been sent from France in, what? 10 hours or so. Or even a deal with Bridgstone to badge up their tyres (the name is only painted on after all), anything but what happenned.
I was listening to this coming back from Le mans and really thought it was a comedy programme on the radio, i had to see it to believe it.

    Re: HOTPOINT WM62P TIMER/MODULE

I should imagine in this case the part number will be identical, its the number on the module/timer that will be differrent. Who checks timer or board numbers? Its the part number that counts. You are not charging for the part so dont need to warranty it.

Re: Belling Format Oven not up to temperature

    Sorry for the late reply,

The fan in the back of the oven should be spinning while the oven is on, you should be able to see this through the grid at the back of the inside of the oven. Beware though as some Bellings had door switches that cut off the fan when the door is open, so shine a torch through the door and you should see the fan spinning. Assuming you have some heat there, the element must be ok so thi may be your problem.
Its an engineers job to fix that so try:click here to try our repairs@service
