Make sure you chase this guy, dont let him get away with shoddy work and service. Asking you for a piece of paper to write the reciept on is not a good sign.
Just a thought but your fridge may have a condenser fan on it which could be the source of the noise, maybe something is catching on it since the repair. We do however get the odd noisy compressor and it is the most frustrating thing as we cannot run them before fitting and it, as stated earlier, is a lot of work.

Would need your model number to be sure, but the filter (assuming it has one, some do not) is usually behind the plastic ‘kick plate’ on the lower edge of the front of the appliance. This will probably pull off with some persuasion and the filter cap will be seen behind it. Do not unscrew this without draining off the water left in the drum first. If it is below door level, you should be able to open the door and scoop it out with a cup. Have a big towel ready just in case and unplug the machine first to be safe. Un screw the filter(either by hand or some need the use of a slotted screwdriver) and then look inside the filter housing (the part where the filter came from) with a torch and check nothing is obstructing the impellor in there. Make sure you put the filter back correctly and tighten it up before testing the machine, keep an eye out for any leaks which may be due to incorrect re fitting of the filter.

    Re: CANDY OVENS

Sorry, but none of the wholsalers we deal with market Candy so we cannot supply. If you do get one yourself, we would be happy to fit and connect if required, as long as the existing electrical connection is ok and suitable. We can happily supply a SMEG item, see their web site at:http://www.smeguk.com but you will need to check your dimensions first.

Just guessing but could it be the door left open warning? A dodgy door switch or reed switch or something like that? Dont really know that model.

Love to help Chris but no idea. 😳

Our own error code section here points to maybe a fill valve problem.

Re: Hoover Frontload W/M Nuova IBMEI Motor Testing

Wonder if this machine is a Merloni? Sounds likely and there is no reason they havn’t invaded Australia as well. If so would suspect the module. Also, dont forget the capacitor(s) as its an induction motor, usually if this has gone you will get some attempt at motor action or maybe just a hum but worth checking out anyway.

Re: Hoover Frontload W/M Nuova IBMEI Motor Testing

Assuming its a brush motor, right? Generaly we dont really need actual resistance readings, I tend to just check for pairs of connections at the motor plug. ie. if there are 6 wires at the plug you should have 3 pairs when meter tested, if its an odd number, the odd conection is usually a centre tap on the field which should show as a circuit to one of the other pairs. Needless to say, none of the contacts should read to earth.
If its an induction motor, things are not so simple. PC board will be unique to whatever appliance it is probably not testable. If it has a large ceramic resistor then suspect that which should be easy to check as the resistance will be written on it.

God I remember those, they cut the water level by so much that if anyone washed a few towels the heater was unvovered.
