Re: Bosch 498607 tumble drier elements

Well, 3 years on and whats changed? Nothing.
I have been happily fitting Masterpart elements since the debacle above but find they are out of stock and as I needed one urgently I ordered the genuine article and even ordered a second for stock. Will be fine, obviously they have sorted this issue by now…….
What do you think the answer to that is? Both have earth faults, (around 3.2 m when cold which falls to 0.01m when hot) exactly the same as before and yes I have tried “burning them off” with no success.
Anyone know of a source of pattern ones with stock?

However the console is not at fault, it was the P (programme button) that had vanished.

Fault is a broken led/light guide part number 769350131.
Black plastic door handle is also broken.

Thanks again to Lawrence for the pdf. 8)

just in case you haven’t already found out, re 769350131….

PCB SUPPORT ALSO ORDER 764730267 X 1 WITH THIS

If its a twist on motor then you need:
    795210620 + 039290137 & 902610342

before 2005 is listed with 699250044 but now obsolete
its a minefield out there by the way, and some need mounting bracket, the part number I cannot find at the mo, hopefully you wont need it.

    Re: 044746 Phone No: ???

all UK numbers are 44…. its just we don’t use the national code in the same way as you don’t use your local code when calling a similar local number (on a land line). Think you will find most texts are sent with the +44 prefix.

    Re: 1606 bearing changes

usual issue is due to both bearings being the same. the shaft then needs to be pulled through 2 bearings as opposed to one on most other makes.

    you wont want to know!
Fan is belt driven from a separate motor so its either a motor (unlikely to fail) or a fan unit- a bit like a Zanussi/Electrolux set up. Most likely to be the fan covered in crap or I have had the mounting bracket for the fan motor break. I think you need to take a look at this one first. If the condenser unit needs removing its not a job for the feint hearted!

probably have filled the base with water when doing the filter, needs drying out and then will re set on its own. Unless its a new one on me that is.

Its always that relay board at the back in my experience, it may look fine. If it has 3 rectangular relays on it then its the old style and will be the cause of no heat, the new version has 4 square relays and is far more reliable. I have replaced the relays on one of the old boards which I use for testing or temp use while the correct one is ordered but it was a bit of a trial due to the double sided soldering and I wont bother again. Don’t expect any change from £100 quids though. 😯
