The top oven does not get past 140 deg c.
My understanding is that the top oven just uses the base element which does come on and get hot.

I have replaced the top oven thermostat yet after half hour it still does not get hotter than 140 deg c.

I must be missing something obvious with this one, any ideas?

    thanks

the grill element should be on as well, is that what you are missing? (maybe connected in series witht the base element?)

jim. might be worth checking the door seal has not slipped from its position on the bottom of the door. I had a similar problem(not cat related) with constant blocked fan and condenser and since re fitting seal have not heard back.

Re: Elux fridges with VEM compressor

customer took a punt on this after I checked the resistance of the compressor. (no condenser fans on this one but a intergrated so heat build up could be an issue) Fitted the pcb thing and off it went, customer now happy that this fantastic system will saver her 50p a year or something in electric bills over a standard freezer. cost of repair? just a smidgen over £300!

    Re: Smeg A2 Range cooker

not really correct info there. on an A2 the complete hob will lift up, car bonnet style. control panel off, remove 2 screws in the top corners of each leg just under the hob. 2 similar screws at rear that just need loosening and then the complete hob will hinge upwards, they even have 2 “bonnet props” to hold it up on each side whist working. no need to touch any part of the gas circuit.

yes not been able to log on since Thursday evening, yet got paid on Friday so I guess its a IT problem their end. No resonse to emails though… would have thought if they had a technical issue they could have got an email out to their agents somehow.

Re: Rangemaster 90 door pin nut

thanks, yes I think its the same as a rivnut tool, mine is air powered though so will need to wheel a compressor into her kitchen!.. I fear the hole left though is larger than the rivnut for the correct thread for the door pin.
