the pins are just like allen keys in shape and size, but rounded off. (allen Keys will work just as well. I think you are not extending the hinges far enough to get the pins in the correct holes. Its quite a nasty job. I use mole grips just barely on the hook of the hinge to stretch them back. Take care, and wear gloves.

be careful with those. it can be the wash pump faulty. a job to prove though
also check wires in door.

Have to wonder how exposed Qualtex are now though, having purchased Jegs and Masterpart I suspect they are heavily in debt to the banks and any major downturn in business could hit them hard.

was a common failure once…. 811660001 is the part and a whole lot cheaper than it used to be.

only ever changed the odd one usually for no heat issues… never once had the same issue you are reporting.

Its because they are programmed for each specific model. No supplier in their right mind would ever stock them.

yep, smeg made machine and probably flashing on every one I ever visit. When pointed out they all swear it just that moment must have come on…. yeah right.
Its a good get out clause for constant toc tripping though as you can blame them for it. Not that the cycle really achieves anything at all and its timed so has no indication of how blocked it is- just comes on after either a certain amount of dry cycles run or after so many months.
