Moderatorno you should be fine. the inner door will stay on and the outer cover will come off
just take your time, i dont think there is any wires to disconnect but it never hurts to take it slow
you could always write a letter to miele stating how dissappointed you are tha the same component has failed twice in 3 years. lay it on a bit thick like your mother had noe for years with no problems and you expected more out of the brand
They can only say no even if they discount the part it would be a win

Moderatorwell its going to get quieter
Just got this from Andyjawa“After some thought I`ve decided to call the whole appliance answering questions thing a day. I`m retired, out of date (for years!), now involved with a food bank and associated services charity (major growth area that but of course is for all the wrong reasons) and I think it is only fair to myself and everyone else that I now completely sling me hook from the appliance industry. Been good fun over the years. I`d like to wish you inparticular and everyone else all the very best. Andyjawa.”

Moderatorwell the part number of the sensor is correct. it has been superceded but another number but still compatible
I would either
measure the resisance of both sensors at the same temperature or swop it back and see if anything changes

Moderatorits the fact it heats on very hot. if the element was faulty i would expect it not to heat
would be strange if a blown heater affected the board
where did you get the temp sensor from? was it a gen partyou could try putting the old one back and see if you get different symptoms

Moderatorthere are 2 NTC’s as far as i can see
one on the front panel and another attached to the tubing of the heat pump
now E14 states its the rear ntc but E13 states its the compressor ntc so that gets confusing when there is no rear ntc in this dryer as far as i can see
I would check the front one for short or open circuit first

Moderatoras most late dishwashers start they go through a start sequence. you should hear not only the pump but also the wash motor speeding up and slowing down
this is probably due to the fact manufacturers are often using the motors as virtual sensors
have you checked for anything jamming wash motor ? you can often do this with a torch and a mirror from the sump
