sometimes if a dishwasher has not been used for a while the main motor seal sticks.
i am assuming in your case its trying to start the main pump motor and failingto free off you often have to get to the rear of the motor and a lot of them have a screw driver slot. if yours has dont just wrench it but gently but firmly move it back and forth

ModeratorRe: Siemans condenser dryer WT46W567GB/16 – No heat
the compressor produces heat because its a motor after that the unit act like a fridge ( heat pump) cools first to drop water and adds the heat back and recycles it
look at the zan manual it may explain it better but it does not get that warm its not meant to

ModeratorRe: Siemans condenser dryer WT46W567GB/16 – No heat
it uses waste heat and recycled heat from the compressor to dry the clothes
one thing to note is the heat is a lot lower than a standard tumble dryer and with the compressor unit it forms a de-humidifier
i have no info on Siemens but will pm you a similar zanussi one. i realize its different but the op principles are the same

agree with bazza provided you have not made a wiring mistake in fitting the new one
just to clarify
2 wires feed a heater inside the switch (in your case you have connected the white wires )
the other 2 wires are a switch (blue wires in your case) in other words if you joined up the 2 blue wires the fan would run all the timei dont know if you have the colours correct but i think you have correct connections
1 things to help
since the unit has a small heater it will get warm when energisedDave

swopping wires wont cure it fit a new one
its a thermal relay that turns the fan on after a few minutes and let it run on after the oven is turned off
