sounds like a panel problem
its prob repairable sounds like it may be the panel power supply or need a new panel
you could get someone with the knowledge to look or
remove your panel and contact

as long as the magnet is turning and the coil is ok then it cant fail to work so cant see why you cant see a reading

its not the tacho coil otherwise you would not get a reading
in the end of the armature is a magnet. this magnet spins inside the coil
check the magnet

the tubes in the lid of the Bosch soap box often get blocked with sludge
you have to strip the machine to remove the soapbox lid and clean it outDave

the voltage from the tacho is very low and its AC not DC
best spin the motor when its on the ohms scale and see if it changes

does not make sense as a fault code but have you checked the base of the dishwasher to make sure its not flooded with water

can see where you coming from K. have always looked at this game as a bums on seats theory. if a customer comes into the shop even for something stupid its worth it because they will remember you. A few times I have done stupid repairs and when asked how much I have said put £2 in the next charity box you see.

This is one of those quandaries
you want to sell the customer a reliable machine but you would make more profit if it was unreliable

think i am right without checking
from rear left hand side under a cover is a motor board. top of the board is 2 connectors. pull one off, insulate it, remove belt for safety. turn on and see what happens. if all correct motor should not move
